well I at least managed to spot AleXa this time, she had like 5 seconds of screentime this episode 🤣 It's fun watching the Japanese trainees already growing so much, they definitely have the drive and it's nice they're getting help from the Korean trainees as well. Little anecdote; I have a bunch of friends in the U.S. Marine Corps stationed in Okinawa as Cadre that do interoperability exercises with the Japanese Self-Defense Forces, and the primary takeaway they get from cross-training is just how detail oriented the Japanese are when learning from them. It seems engrained in their culture to really focus on the minutiae of whatever subject matter they study, to the point where it becomes obsessive in nature and they become extremely fast learners. Makes the Cadre's jobs a lot easier and makes for good ROI in an allied force.

2025-01-16 14:43:41 +0000 UTCIf you're interested in seeing Jo Yuri take on a different type of survival program, she's currently in Squid Game Season 2. :P Erii is one of the contestants I mentioned last time as having no idea what she signed up for when she went to Korea. She's said in interviews since the show aired that she went to Korea thinking that it was going to be a performance and didn't know it was a competition until they started filming evaluations, which is part of the reason why she looks so wildly unprepared in this episode.
