BTW it's a tradition for Hongjoong to paint a message on his fan for The Real for special performances. This one - if you pronounce the Korean letters as written - you'll say "Hello Coachella." When they went to MAWAZINE in Morocco he wrote his message in Arabic. I ADORE the week 1 performance and still grieve that the video is crap.

You'll see how much they practiced for this event. The wind and stuff were so bad on week one that Jongho collapsed backstage and had vocal lessons afterwards to manage his breathing better in these conditions in the desert.

Fun fact, they were supposed to not tell us this until later but yeosang accidentally revealed that they drank tea on arriba performance and it wasn’t actual whiskey. They also spoiled their NA world tour and their golden hour part 1 comeback on Coachella!

Another show you just HAVE to watch is their Mawazine performance!! I think it’s even better than Coachella. Their energy was off the charts more than usual… as they were performing back in Morocco where they started all those years ago. It is truly a special performance.

So there is a possibility that they will go again in 2026. I hope they go and will be headliners this time. They really deserve it. And there is a certain time given to each artist, so they can perform as much as they can fit in 45 minutes.

2025-01-29 15:12:19 +0000 UTCI watched this week live, and despite the less than stellar camera work, it was so incredible! Mingi's hype is actually pretty common for concerts. He made seem chill, but put him in front of a crowd and he comes alive. The one who made the biggest impression on non-Atinys was Jongho and his flawless vocals. He pushed himself so hard that night that he ended up passing out from hyperventilation after the show. Then immediately went to LA the next day for vocal lessons. So proud of our Maknae. Week 2 is even better. The boys were more relaxed and the cameras were working properly. Quite a few iconic moments in Ateez history came from Week 2.
