As many of you might know, I don’t really tend to think about how I will color my drawings until I am actually just… working on coloring them. And then it is tons of trial and error to get to a point in which I feel the thing is really, truly working.

This piece doesn’t have the typical highlights I usually do (tho I DID do them; I just opted to not include them in the final); but still, I think there is something that feels almost classical or like a European painting in how it leans into darkness, rather than trying to capture the mind with its highlights. I personally think it works, but I also don’t know how other people will feel hahaha.

Oh, and a friend of mine recommended that I should put some screenshots of my process; I only took one, but hopefully this gives you a bit of a sense of how I work (I make everything up as I go along lmao)
