I love Ingrid! She is so cool!

I am trying to get a better handle on rendering leather in full black and white, while ALSO making drawings that are super fucking cool hahaha.

I only published the black and white because honestly, even tho I feel the colors on this WORK, I think it reads as like early-90’s computer coloring, like what was done on Tim Sale prior to his Batman books. Effectively, he was doing so much with ink that sometimes any rendering on it just overcomplicated the drawings. I dunno. Maybe these colors are okay! Hahaha.

No matter, I love Ingrid’s nonchalance. I can’t wait to do an ACTUAL Ingrid comic some day, as Blondie is a comic that is actually mostly about Anaïs.

I think the hard thing about doing Ingrid comics is that she is effectively my most grounded character, but I don’t really WANT to draw super grounded stories. Ah well! I will figure it out! Maybe my weird storytelling chops will make up for it hahaha.

What do you all think about these two different versions of good old Ingrid?
