Lately…

So sorry I haven’t been posting, y’all! I had a very weeeeird Friday last week which completely threw me off (NEVER hang out with a millionaire narcissist, no matter HOW hot she may be!); I have been making art, but my ability to push myself to post has just been on Le Fritz! So now to catch up!

The first drawing up there is Penny, an OC created by DarkMoney1 on Twitter; I adore their work, and was really excited that they agreed to do an art trade — I draw Penny, and they draw Anaïs! Needless to say I am stoked for that! ☺️

Just want to show the original sketch and then a not-fully-flats version; I had to contemplate a lot about how much rendering I was going to give this one. I ultimately ended up using a fair amount, tho still less than I usually might (no rendering on the zippers, her hair, etc). The second image here is a version that I like a lot despite its unfinished state.

The second drawing is my beloved Anaïs 🥰🥰🥰 I was honestly mentally having an issue because I had almost exclusively been drawing others’ characters for like a month and I wanted to get back to my own shit, but it was NOT coming easily. Thankfully, I managed to bust this out without a prelim sketch or anything, and I think it ended up looking really good! The pose is very similar to the recently Harley drawing I did (tho in reverse), because I have been using some limited references, but I still think it ended up looking unique enough ☺️ I also randomly had an idea to go a little more graphic on the typeface and design; it almost looks like a cool advertisement hahaha. Here is a fully black and white version!

The third drawing is another Anaïs, this time with rendering that is more reminiscent of Adam Hughes again (sorry, but I just really like how that man colors, what can I say!). I almost NEVER draw anyone giving a big toothy grin, and I was kind of excited about the different kind of vibe/attitude it would give her - someone who looks a bit sleazy but who is excited to take you out. I borrowed her smile from Margot Robbie, cuz honestly sometimes drawing a grin like that is harder than you might think! There might be a bit of weirdness on the tit-perspective on this one, but I ultimately still really like how it came out. I think there is some really nice color contrast, and the rendered skin versus the almost NOT rendered vinyl of her outfit works pretty well! Here is the uncolored version!

And finally, we have Ingrid, who was not TOO hard to get right, except with regard to color. Like God, I spent so much time working with different layerings to keep highlights but also tone things down - to keep enough contrast but to not go CRAZY with it; I feel like it ended up looking pretty cool, despite that not being a pose that almost anyone would ever strike hahaha; I just think sometimes really limiting color variance can produce pretty satisfying results. It’s all about PLAY - just trying to fuck around and see what happens! ☺️☺️☺️ Like a few previous drawings I did, I didn’t ink the rendering of her leather, but I rather worked it out in the coloring. You can see how I planned for the lighting in the original sketch down below before I inked a cleaner version of the line art and then laid the flats down. It makes it a lot easier to figure out what the fuck I am doing sometimes hahaha. But yeah, I think she ended up looking super cute. My sister was SO mad when she saw that I gave Ingrid a bulge again (not to mention huge tits, which she does not have), but… a girl just has to draw what her heart desires, and at that moment I wanted to draw a very sexy trans Ingrid, what of it??? Lmaoooo
