UPDATES AND RECENT PIN-UPS

Okay y’all, it’s been a while. Dealing with stress and mental health stuff, hormonal annoyingness, sickness, and a lack of creativity kept me from posting; also a general malaise. Whatevs. Here I am. 

So I have a several images to share that I have yet to show here, and so, yeah...

This was a drawing I did based on issue three of Sarah Horrocks’ comic GORO. TBH, that issue might be the best (and my fave) single issue of any comic I have ever read ever, and so I had to do something from it. It was p fun to create a lot of movement and anarchic rage/joy in the form of this pretty fucked-up situation.

Here’s another pin-up I did, this time based on Brandon Graham’s MULTIPLE WARHEADS, another very very fun read. I like the characters a lot. This was one where I was just gonna draw one thing and it turned into...well, this whole thing. I only wanted to draw Sexica, and then I was like, ”Well, I don’t usually draw pin-ups with multiple people, and so I could try!” So I added Nikolai...and then just kept drawing, AND HERE WE ARE!

I started doing some digital work (which might have to take a regrettable backseat for a time, because I need to get my WACOM tablet working properly again), and it was really fun! I am not used to doing a lot with color, but I really want to be able to experiment more and push myself in a way that I hadn’t been able to prior. 

ANYWAY, those are just some things I worked on for a time! I also have two comics I just did that I will talk about in other posts!

I DO have some plans for future work, tho! I have been trying to get my life in order a bit, and I feel like the best way to do that is to just focus on one project at a time and not stress about the other until it is THEIR time. This brief list will probably cover me for the next few months:

1. Write proposal for secret fashion comic

2. Finish comic I started drawing in November

3. Create a whole goddamn zine of mini-comics and pin-ups (The goal here is four comics at about four pages a piece, and then pin-ups in between each).
