MY LIFE TO LIVE - more progress
Added 2019-06-20 07:10:53 +0000 UTCHere are some shots of new pages I am working on. I’m approaching this comic slowly but surely, and basically just trying to get the basis of each page knocked out in pencils and then move on, rather than spend my entire life getting a page right on the first go (I am a MAJOR perfectionist, and so this way keeps me actually progressing on pages, rather than getting bogged down in detail).
Because of this, these pages, at this state, are unfinished, but the basic idea of what happens in the page is there (enough for me, anyway).

Also, because I am writing this book as I am drawing it, I am MOSTLY drawing it in sequential order, but like this first page here is actually the third page in the book, and the second page here is the sixth. Basically, I am kinda feeling it out - recognizing my page turns, recognizing where the swell of feeling needs to be and how it need to be reached. I feel like this is what a writer does, but like, mostly on her own, and mostly BEFORE anyone draws the thing. Whatevs. I do what I do!
I am just so thrilled to be working on this - this is the first time kinda ever that I have stuck with a project for as long as I have without the desire to finish it diminishing, like, at all. I’m going slowly, and yet I am still not stressed out about it? It’s really weird. Maybe once I start inking and I remember how long THAT takes I’ll actually start stressing 😅
