Two new drawings!
Added 2021-11-05 01:45:16 +0000 UTCSo in the past three days I have posted three new drawings: the Cowgirl, these two smoke-break girlfriends, and these two sleuth friends! Honestly, they are pretty cool and chill! I saved a lot of time by not actually doing real flats on them; the smoking girls was actually an attempt to work really loose and with a different pen type (just the standard milli pen!); I was trying to emulate Maria Lovett, whose work I tfind generally under-discussed? Definitely recommend looking into it! I was gonna try a similar approach with the sleuth girls, but I chickened out haha. Still , I like them, and I hope that y’all do, too! Thanks so much for the support! I am honestly really proud of both of these for different reasons.
As an aside, just for reference, the sleuthing girls vibe is based on one of my favorite movies ever, Celine and Julie Go Boating, and the girl with the red dress on the right is based heavily on Anna Karina in a fit similar to one she wore in Pierrot Le Fou. I love French cinema, and so those vibes are very important for my work!!!
And the smoking girls are both just straight-up Zoomer vibes, and that’s it haha
