New Anaïs!

If you have been paying attention to my work of late, you’ll have probably noticed that Anaïs has suddenly gotten very um… large down there! Part of this is due to my own desire to see more stuff like this in art (several trans women have really expressed joy at seeing a woman with an obvious bulge portrayed so openly in my art), and part of this is due to something that will be a central part of the eventual graphic novel ANAïS//ANAïS, where gender and how that gender manifests and how it can differ in appearance and personality and how the public responds to that manifestation of gender are basically like the main themes. Regular Anaïs is um not packing, but Leather Anaïs is.
I hope that gives some excitement to you all for what it is I am trying to do! I know I have been “working” on this book idea for years, but it is slowly coming together. Still have much to figure out, but I hope to be pitching it sooner than later (maybe in the new year!)!

(EDIT: Oh yeah, the pose was based on this Miller Daredevil cover, which I think I have had buried in my brain for forever and I have been wanting to do something like it)

Another "Hey baby" Leather Anaïs reminded me of Frank Miller too. The hand on the hip one. That seemed more Sin City Miller than the Daredevil one. For this one, it's the hand/fingers that really make the DD connection. Cigarette instead of baton is a cool twist too. (you said it on twitter, I hadn't made the full connection yet)
