BLACK CANARY

Okay y’all, so I absolutely wish I could draw a Black Canary cover - MAYBE SOME DAY! What I have here is all of the drawings of Black Canary I have done thus far (one of which no one has seen because I don’t like it, but I wanted to include it as an exclusive anyway lmaoooo), most of which I did over the past few months, but two of them which I did in the summer of 2022; those drawings kind of gave me my first big boost in followers on Twitter, and I still think they are some of the better pieces I have done!

My sister said the more I draw Black Canary, the more I slowly transform her into one of my leather girls. This is very true, because I want like EVERYONE I draw to be one of my leather girls hahaha. But also, like, she is so cool! She is so powerful! She has such a KILLER VIBE!!! All of which makes me want to draw her more hahaha.

I think I actually used reference for every single one of these drawings; she is maybe the easiest for me to pull reference for because I essentially own enough clothing like it to where I can know exactly how the light will hit any of it at a given spot hahaha. I have been using a lot more reference lately, which I don’t mind, but I DO worry about becoming all too reliant on it; gotta make sure I just take what I learn into drawings in which I do NOT use reference! 😃😃😃

No matter, I hope you all like seeing all of these and hearing a little about them! Honestly they are some of my proudest pieces I have ever done; as much as I don’t SUPER want to draw superheroes, she is definitely a bucket list one for me! ☺️
