PLASMA CUTTER IS COMPLETE!!!!

HELLO EVERYONE!!!! today I’m excited to let you guys know, THE PLASMA CUTTER! IS COMPLETE!!!! woooohoooo! this project has been one hell of a test and pushed me to the limits! so much so that for this model I come up with a completely new electronics set-up to make this model work! :D

about that! last time I posted about this model, the Pico's where burning out thanks to the power draw from the servos! not great! to fix this grabbed a Pico servo board! this board you pop the Pico on and it provides break out pins for the parts as well as a convenient way to power everything, also no more blowing up Pico's!!! woohoo!

but then I ran into another issue! the 18650 power suplly i normally use would not work! the 18650 board that holds the batterys only provides around 1 amp and if it senses more draw than that it shuts down. not good! but there was a fix!!! just use  AA batteries!! :D Thanks to the Pico servo board a lot of the power regulating components that were on the 18650 board are on the servo board making it redundant and AA provide all the power needed :D wooohooo

after all that!! the servos finely worked!!! and the model was able to transform!!!!! woooohoooo!!!

TO THE FEATURES!!!

this model has!

bolt-together construction!

lighting up barrels!

removable mag!

ammo counter! designed to emulate the health bar on Clarke’s back!

dual trigger! pull halfway to fire, pull fully to transform the model!

and the big one!!! THE ELECTRONICS!!!

pop open the battery box and power on the model, it does its start up sequence :D (watch your hands around those moving plates! hehe) after its finished the plats with open and the barrels will light up! pull that trigger and the barrels will flash as they fire! the ammo bar will then deplete! getting dimmer and eventually turning red :D the ammo is empty the model will go into a shutdown state, you will need to remove the mag from the top and reinsert it! the model will then go back into the firing state! and the big party trick!! pull the trigger fully in and the model with transform!!! the will open up fully and the entire barrel assembly will rotate 90 degrees!! :D Cool side note the barrels will also change their length in the transformed state :D pull the trigger again and the model will transform back!!!

this model pushed me past my limits and came so close to having the transform feature scraped! but thankfully it worked!!! and thanks to this model I have a new electronics package that works for models needing a bit more torque!!!! :D
