THE CARBINE IS COMPLETE!!! wooooooooooo!!!! :D this model has been extreme!!! small story time :D last time I posted about this model I was starting the test print everything was going well till I got to the electronics :D parts had to have multiple reprints thanks to the servos not working as intended infact, this model has been the second toughest model test print I have had! and then! I got the final test of all the electronics working together!!! aaaaand it didn't work. sad day, first I though I was pulling 2 many amps from the batteries after doing a bunch of tests that was not the case :D i EVENTUALY figured out that I was under volting the servos!!! 4 AA batteries only gives 4.7 volts which was just not enough so I have swapped them to a rechargeable 12v li ion battery and just like that!!!! the model worked!!!!! wooooooohoooooooo

As you hit the trigger the back part of the barrel recoils, the lighting on the side of the model flashes!!!
the mag has a really cool feature, ITS ALSO THE AMMO COUNTER!!!
as you fire the model lights on the mag go out and the mag rotates!
when you reach 0 ammo the mag lights turn off, and the lighting on the model turns red. hit the mag reload button and the cover on the mag opens up to allow you to swap the mag, after swapping the mag, hit the mag reload button again and the mag cover closes, the mag then rotates back to the starting position! and you are ready to fire again :D
this model has been one of the harder to design projects I have worked on but it has been a blast!!! :D the detail on the model has turned out so well plus hitting that trigger, watching the barrel recoil is so freaking coool!!!! :D

hay there! yup, I have taken the model down temporarily, a major issue was found with the electronics :( im working on a fix now and should have the model back up at some point :D

2025-08-08 03:13:40 +0000 UTCanyone else got to the point of attempting the electronics yet? i have blown 2 picos :/ not sure why either. first one burned after a few seconds second one went after around a min, servos worked for that time lights mostly worked. followed the instructions and such, any advise is welcome
