Helldivers P-4 Senator!!!!
Added 2024-04-12 15:04:13 +0000 UTChello everyone!!! today I have something special!!! it's the p-4 senator from Helldivers!!!! :D For a while now I have been wanting to make some stuff from the game but could not find the right project till I found this thing!!! and what makes this project so special you may ask? it's all got to do with the insane mechanism I designed for it!!! but first the features!!!
this model has:
bolt together construction!!
magnetic removable front outer plate!!
an under barrel light! using a 5mm LED! :D
internals!! (a gas canister that says anti-bug spray on the side of it haha)
and the BIG ONE!!! trigger and hammer mechanism that also rotates the drum that holds the bullets!! so on every trigger pull, the hammer moves, and the drum rotates 60 degrees!!! :D Originally I have been working on this mechanism for larger grenade launcher-style models which used springs! but that was not gonna work here so I chose to use magnets to replace the springs!!! and it worked!!! wooohoo :D no only that but allowed me to build much more compacted mechanisms than I could have in the past!!! :D woohooo
It also has an under barrel light! using a 5mm LED! :D
this is definitely one of my more epic hand cannons and with this new mechanism, models are gonna be even more epic!!! :D

Thanks for your reply. I've already made a fix to the frame7 by making the centre section slightly deeper, so the frame9 can spin more freely (think I removed additional 0.6mm) and it works really good. The problem is with the trigger4 being stuck and unable to spring back, it gets trapped between frame9 and frame6 part where the screw is secured for a frame5, if that makes sense.

2024-05-08 20:22:27 +0000 UTChay there!! thank you for letting me know :D this was a issue that popped up during the test print, frame7, frame 8, frame 9, bind with each other due to the due to the friction of PLA, the is a few things you can do to fix it :D 1: back off the bolts that hold frame 7 by half a turn. 2: sand down the sides that support touches on frame 9. 3: reprint frame 9, but change your flow rate down by 3% :D if none of that works let me know, and look into more extreme fixes for the model :D
