Future Projects

Hey everyone,

Thanks for your support as I finished the Aeonica series. It feels great to call that done, even if it’s just a polished first draft.

With that said, I wanted to let everyone know about my other projects (current, and upcoming.)

Web of Secrets

In January 2021, I started writing a new fantasy series called Web of Secrets. This is part of the Progression Fantasy and Cultivation subgenres (inspired by Will Wight’s Cradle series). it takes place in a world with modern technology, ranging from trains, cars, and even the internet.

I’ve been writing this alongside Aeonica for the past six months. But now that Aeonica is finished, this series is about to become my main project.

Here’s the summary:

"Mana Artists rule the world, and the path to power is a well-kept secret, restricted to state-approved programs and universities.

Akari Zeller will never be a Mana Artist. Not if society has its way. She's a Bronze with no money, no family, and no connections. But technology is advancing too. And to a skilled hacker like Akari, no secret is safe forever. The Dark Web holds the secrets to advancement and her only chance of survival."

As of now, Book 1 in this series is more than 50% done. If this sounds interesting to you, you can start reading on Royal Road or Wattpad. I also plan to start posting advance chapters here on Patreon since some readers on RR have expressed interest.

Publishing Aeonica: The Lost Redeemer

I’ve already started my TLR rewrite, but I wanted to wait until the trilogy was complete until I finished it. This will allow me to go back and polish the plot and characters to make everything consistent across all three books.

My goal is to find a professional editor and then self-publish the ebook on Amazon sometime in the next year. Of course, anyone who's supported this series so far will have a chance to get the ebook for free!

If the ebook launch goes well, I plan to extend that to a paperback version, and maybe even an audiobook.

Publishing The rest of Aeonica

Same process as above: rewrite based on the feedback I’ve received, send to an editor, publish the ebook, then the paperbacks. The timeline for this is a bit fuzzy, especially since I’ve already committed to Web of Secrets as my main project right now. It will definitely happen though!

Future Aeonica Books

Eventually, I plan to return to the Aeonica universe for another series that takes place several generations in the future, similar to how Legend of Korra follows Avatar: The Last Airbender, or how Mistborn has multiple eras. The main antagonist would be a certain character who was introduced toward the end of Aeonica Book 3.

I definitely wouldn’t start this for several more years, after the first Aeonica trilogy is published, and after Web of Secrets is finished. It’s another thing to look forward to though!

Related: Aeonica and Web of Secrets take place in the same universe but on different planets. That means we might also see cross-overs in the future!
