Apologies, I'm a tad late with this update.
This month has been a bit hectic, as it's an important one for sole-traders like myself. We need to do our self-assessment in order to calculate how much income tax we get charged. Which involves back-and-forth with an accountant - and this year my bank - since you need to have funds in a particular business bank account, etc. And as bad as I am at computer games, I'm even worse at getting my head around finance. So I just try to do whatever my accountant tells me to do. Meaning lots of emails/phone calls to get instructions and advice.
The point is, it's been an attention drain this week. But thankfully it's coming to a close. Sorry about that.
The next video, Random Mount & Blade: Warband Bullshittery, is coming along nicely. After my initial discovery phase Monday to Thursday last week I found that I had about 1 hour and 30 minutes worth of useful raw footage from about 10 hours of live-streams.
The format of the video is similar to the previous Farcry bullshittery, as opposed to something like CSGO. Rather than individual clips recorded weeks apart, it's a condensed version of the single-player live-stream adventures which saw me roam around a medieval land, performing tasks for kings and fair-maidens. And getting into all sort of Monty Python'esk silliness.
My ongoing task now (since last Friday) has been to condense down the 1 hour and 30 minutes into lots and lots of tiny clips that you would recognise as the bullshittery style and pace. That effort is about 75% complete after 3-4 days. So I imagine by the end of the week it'll be nearing completion. At which point I'll begin the text/animations, etc.
I've also been having a devious thought. I might actually animate all of the "AAAGHHHH" sounds that all the soldiers in the game make whilst fighting. People who know Mount & Blade know exactly how ludicrous that would be, since all the NPC's are yelling it every 30 seconds. Hence why I think it would be hilarious! Another example of extreme over-editing.
I'll think about it :D
Hope you're all well and have had a lovely January. As always, thank you very much for your generous support while I sit here and fiddle with this editing lark xx
