Happy Friday everyone!
So it's the end of the third week of work on the latest bullshittery. Which would make it day 15 of the editing. And progress has been 'okay, but not quite as good as I would like'.
I'm up to about 5 minutes (almost exactly in fact) of fully edited video out of about 25 minutes. That's an unexpectedly long run-time, which I shall endeavor to tighten it as I go.
5 minutes is not that bad for the 5 days of text/animation editing I've been doing (a minute a day is the going average for key-framing like this). But I've been frustrated by the initial 10 days of cutting/arranging at the start.
That was much longer than expected due to the nature of this single-player format. It's much more like Alien Isolation or Far Cry (which also quite lengthy) in that there's a distinct plot being followed (or blundered through) that requires a bit more precise pacing from scene-to-scene.
Things like CSGO or PUBG don't have this requirement since their funny moments happen in complete isolation and can be strung in any practical order. Which, while funny, I often find a bit scatter-shot.
I find it funnier if there's structure. Like a heavily-edited Let's Play where everything that could conceivably go wrong is going hideously wrong, as it did during the streams.
What I'll likely do is what I did last time for something like this: give you early-access to the 10-12 minutes worth at the half-way point. And then you can watch that if you wish or wait until the full thing is complete. I'd leave it entirely up to you :)
So yes, editing continues!
