Womble's Soapbox - part 1/10 - Intro & Early Access - Update #1

Sorry for the delay on this update folks. I was meaning to send it out on Friday, but then the weekend happened :)

So as mentioned in the last update, I'm trying to squirrel away 3 weeks on that DayZ side project. And so, last week and a bit of this week, I've gone back to the Intro chapter hoping to produce a final version for you.

The feedback I got from you all was excellent, thank you. Very helpful. I'm currently working through it to fix the following

 - Revoice to make it sound less like a robot librarian reading a script.

 - Fix the music. I've consistently made it too loud. Sorry about that.

 - Explain why I'm doing this. What the point of the video is. That wasn't all that clear.

 - Address complaints that I'm analysing something early access by sharing my thoughts on early access from the perspective of my previous career in software QA. The do's and don'ts

Almost all of the audio is done now. I'm now working on the visual parts. And I'm hoping to have it ready for you on Wednesday.

Then I'll move that fresh chapter  Chapter 4 - Internal and external PVE threats.

So, a tad behind shedule tbh.  I'll try and catch up as best I can.

It's a really good and well written out discussion on the issue. I've felt the same way with a lot of games. *cough*Ark*cough* I've had the problem with shrugging things off because it's early access, but it's fun. Factorio, Rimworld, Kerbal, those games felt great and only got better with the updates. Other games just felt like, "We have your money, now here's something tiny with this patch."
