So this week I've been doing the following:
So I've got a (more or less) complete bullshittery video from start to finish, using about 30 scenes out of 90. The remaining 60 I can be used in future episodes.
Today I've been trying to gets the scenes in the correct order in terms of overall video flow. This isn't so easy to explain. It's moving scenes around until it just feels right.
Not having too many one-liners in the same place, leaving gaps for laughter, trying to rotate punchlines so it's not always one person speaking, etc. Plus there are some jokes that are just funnier if they're given a bit of setup from an earlier scene. For example there's a joke where I carry Edberg during a game. But it's more amusing if you first see that Edberg takes his Global Elite rank very seriously. So you can understand his frustration. So I move a prior joke about it near the start of the timeline. That sort of thing.
Next Monday, phases 2 and 3 (text adding and animation) begin. The lines between these two phases has blurred to be honest, now that I use Premiere. And now I'll be able to easily quantify how many scenes remain out of 30 to give you a rough idea of completion time.
I'm also curious to see if this nesting process has any affect on the quality assurance time (which is usually two days or more). Now that all of the clips are in isolation in their own sequences, I wonder if it will reduce the number of mistakes (1 , 2 ). I'll find out next week.
As always, thank you for your continued patronage. Have a lovely weekend.
TL;DR - Episode made, but no text yet. I'll get the crayons out to start that next week. Also I have chicken.
Bonks
