Another update on the Arma bullshittery.
So It's been about a week of regular editing and everything is going to plan. I've gotten about 5 minutes of a rough 10 minute total edit. But to be fair many of those clips are partially complete. I keep getting stuck on something technical and need to trouble-shoot After Effects for a while. But then I prefer to move onto a fresh clip to keep the momentum going. But I'll need to go back and fix the bugs later.
Not much to report I'm afraid, everything is going as expected. I'm trying to select about 30 of the 70 ish clips so that a follow up episode will have enough funnies.
Unfortunately I also wasted a few hours today on an edit that I eventually didn't like. Which was a bummer :S
As with the other Arma's, the inconsistent frame-rate is proving to be a pain. I'm constantly having to manually make the text less jittery by ignoring the head motion and eyeballing it. Because the heads are sometimes moving weirdly, because the squad was fighting in Kavala, or some other dense urban area where the frame-rate tanks!
Next week I'll prioritize getting some clips polished off to make some previews for you. Not quite there yet I'm afraid.
Oh, also some headway is being made on the D&D cartoon front. Hope to have more on that soon :)

That's a scene where they all discovered they could prime smoke grenades and attach them to their bodies with the mod interface (you're supposed to do it with glow sticks). So they spend ages just walking around the camp "vaping". Woodscrap spent some time with one just stuck 2 inches infront of his face.

2017-07-14 23:32:08 +0000 UTCThanks. One of the most frustrating one appears to be general slowness of Adobe Premiere. I'm not entirely sure what's causing it. But it's like...at the start of the scene, it'll be fairly easy. But once there are lots of linked After Effects projects and title cards, just previewing every second seemed to take a few seconds to load. Not had it like this before. Maybe I need to reformat the drives after this.
