August - Opinions on next project?
Added 2017-08-07 12:53:59 +0000 UTCSo now that the Random Arma Bullshittery (part 8) is finished, I was pondering what to do with the next project. Would like to know your thoughts.
At the moment a lot of people on Youtube seem convinced that my public release schedule is way too slow. So I think the best idea would be to do one other bullshittery episode at least. And then jump back onto the DayZ video essays afterwards for parts 8/10 and 9/10 for you guys only. As that project really needs to advance.
To be honest, for the next episode I'd really like to do something simple like Golf It or We Were Here. Especially considering how grueling Arma was.
But this is what I have available at the moment for editing. Please tell me what you're leaning towards - POLL
Random Bullshittery Episodes:
- Rocket League - 4 player car football game
- CSGO - part 9. Though I'm not certain if I have enough clips.
- Tabletop Sim - Poker games with the ZF guys
- Golf It - Competitive mini golf with Cy, Edberg, Waffle, me and TobiWan.
- Gang Beasts - Competitive beat'em up with Edberg, Cy and myself.
- We Were Here - Two player co-cop with Cy and myself.
- Blackwake - ZF pirate games, lots of us.
- Overwatch - Not certain if I have enough clips yet tbh.
- Battlegrounds - More than enough clips! Loads, in fact. Then again, I did do one of those v recently.
Narrative-Heavy solo style (like Alien Isolation):
- The Valley - Adventure game I played solo a few months ago.
- SOMA - Horror/adventure playthrough made at around the same time I did Outlast.
Video Essays
There is another option. Though I'm not sure how you feel on this. I was considering doing a brief, stand alone video-essay talking about Total War: Warhammer and its DLC practises. Which I feel have been very sneaky recently in a way that's not immediately obvious and not often talked about.
They've been releasing new factions for their game, along with Warhammer 2 very soon which (when you actually look at it carefully) represents very little actual development work, for very high price. In some cases, they're just slightly editing existing units and adding them to DLC packs for about £7 on the store. Along with "hero" units, which just use slightly modified existing animations with basic fluff changes.
I was considering doing a video calling them out on it.
That being said, I'm not sure this is the best time for this. As I think people crave bullshitteries at the moment. And I'm rather tempting to do something simple. But at the same time it might be the perfect time. What with Warhammer 2 released in September to possibly protect consumers from shadyness. And introduce the viewers at large to my video essay format ahead of simply dropping 10 episodes of DayZ on them. I'm still mulling over this idea, I'm uncertain.
Another link to the poll. I will read any and all comments, I promise. Have a lovely Monday everyone.

Golf it, that looks like a good option
