Good evening folks. I hope you're all well.
So last week's task of cleaning and scrubbing footage was quite productive. I was able to label clips for CSGO, PUBG and a little bit of DayZ. And have figured out that there's enough bullshittery highlights for all three of them. For multiple episodes in some cases.
Around about Thursday, my scrubbing work in the CSGO folder started to crystallise into "hey that would be a cool intro idea" and "that would make a good outro". And before I knew it the framework of a bullshittery started to form on a test timeline.
Therefore, following the though line for said enthusiasm, I ploughed headlong into what should be Random CSGO Bullshittery (part 9).

I'm really happy with the clips in the CSGO master project file. A lot of them are very funny. Having long since forgotten the gags, I found myself laughing at a lot of them during the scrubbing. It takes about 30-40 clips for a bullshittery compilation of this type. There are about 106 ready to go.
So my plan is to plunge straight into the text and animation editing for the first 6 minutes. Great progress so far, as this is technically only day 3. CSGO is much easier compared to other edits, owing to the points of contrast on all characters for auto tracking (the coloured arrows above heads) and the round-based gameplay causes jokes to be self-contained and easy to cut. You don't, for example, need to look 1 hour before to find the setup to the gag, as you might in something like Arma. Usually, setup and punchline are seconds apart.

The only problem at the moment is that (like PUBG and DayZ) the combined size of all of the streams far exceeds the maximum size of even my largest SSD. So editing will need to be done on standard (and not all that speedy) hard-drives. It shouldn't be a problem initially, but Adobe After Effects is one hell of a prima donna in the late stages of a project.
If it ends up slowing down the edit I'll start getting sneaky. Pulling the necessary streams out onto the SSD and doing it piecemeal. Once all the required scenes are identified.
But for now, this is the plan and I very much hope I can get your blessing to continue. Feel free to give me your thoughts below. I'm confident I can make it a good one :)
