Blade & Sorcery gag video - Update #2

Thank you very much for taking part in the prior poll everyone. It helps me determine where demand is. It appears that Arma is currently cruising near the top. I shall certainly have a look through the footage and see what I can do. The Antistasi games are still ongoing, but that doesn't mean I can't make a start and begin nesting the footage so I know what I have, right?

Prior to that though, I'm still working on finishing last weeks mini project in Blade & Sorcery. Which has involved a lot of wandering around the flat in VR trying to get the NPC's to behave. I'm afraid it's not quite finished and needs a bit more work.

A quick walkthrough of the project.

It's about 3 minutes long. The clips have mostly been recorded, though there are a few small gaps. With the ending being something of a hassle as it requires an NPC move in a very specific way to make a scene work.

But that scene also kills them by necessity. It's what I'm filming. And since I need an NPC with a specific hairstyle for continuity, I need to murderise the other 9-10 until I find the one I need. Moving their bodies and weapons out of the shot every time. It's proving difficult and tedious because they never ragdoll the way I need. Going to give it another shot later tonight.

Additionally, there's a voice track recorded separately from the VIVE's crappy mic. Which is ongoing, but means that I also have to wait until each evening before I can record a line. The city noises of Brighton are too loud during the day (buses, sirens, etc).

And lastly, the background audio needs to be carefully tweaked. Since there's a rather irritating waterfall on this particular map which is proving distracting. I'd cut it out entirely and make all the ambience birdsong or wind. But the damn thing is visible in many of the shots, drawing attention to itself by being obvious and massive.

Alas, I can't properly predict when I'll have it ready, due to the luck based nature of a couple of the shots. But I shall keep having a crack at it. And will have it for you as soon as possible. Then on with the proper bullshittery.
