So it's the start of week 6 on this big ol' Arma 3 Antistasi project. And I'm almost done with the first piece of it. Part 1 of 5 is just entering the Quality Assurance phase this afternoon,
So last week I was able to reach approximately 9 minutes out of 10 for the text and the animations. This involves the creation and keyframing of lots of "Null Objects" in Adobe After Effects. Invisible squares that dictate where and how the text moves. The keyframing for those invisible squares is what takes the bulk of the editing time. There's a prior post here if you're curious to know how these Null Objects work.
Yesterday I was able to finish the process, bringing the video up to 10 minutes in duration. Though there are some extra scenes that I'd like to add later this week once I've figured out where they'd best fit.
This episode sees the early stages of the resistance movement. Where we have only the most basic weapons and next to no resources. Forcing us to run leaflet campaigns and steal civilian cars in order to keep one step ahead of the enemy. In the next few episodes we'll see escalation of the conflict on Altis.

What I need to do now is render the whole video and then watch it on repeat to spot the mistakes. These could be editing goofs, spelling errors, or even just bits that could flow better. One should not shy away from cutting anything that doesn't work and then trying something else. So quality assurance repeats until what's presents seems decent.
I'm very much hoping to have that process finished by the end of the week. Will have the video to you as soon as I can. After which the remaining 4 parts are practically good to go and I can jump directly into the text and animations. Since the cutting stage is complete for all of it.
Hope you're all having a lovely week.
