EARLY ACCESS - Reworked section 1/13 of the DayZ critique series.

Sorry this took a bit longer than anticipated. I've finished the rework to the first chapter of the DayZ critique video-essay series: 01 - Introduction & Early Access. And it can be found here for those interested.

Structure wise things should be greatly improved. As now there's much less of a reliance on list-making, owing to the experience I've now accrued creating video-essays. And I was able to play with After Effects, producing some more advanced visuals. Plus the narration is much less monotone than it was before. I'm confident the quality is much more in-line with the later parts of the series, bringing it all one step closer to completion.

Additionally, on reviewing section 02 - History, I realise that it's not too bad structurally speaking. To the point that I don't mind unlisting the draft once again. I definitely want to re-voice it again though, bringing my narration down a couple of octaves, trimming out some silly jokes and tightening some parts here and there.

The real pain point is the third chapter, 03 - Activities in DayZ.

That one was one of the first chapters written and my inexperience really shows. I need to set a side some time to re-do that entirely, as the quality is well bellow an appropriate standard. And of course, 04 - PvP Balance and 05 - Farming will need some tightening also. But that'll be at a later date.

So to surmise, for those interested, eight of the thirteen chapters for the video-essay are currently available. And you're welcome to leave any thoughts in the comments. And thank you kindly:

As for right now, I'm going to make an immediately start on the next Space Engineers bullshittery. I'm currently in the process of moving the footage onto the main hard-drive and well get started right away.

Once again, thank you for indulging me as I fiddle with the crayons on my wee passion project :) And if you have any feedback do let me know.

All links are private now :( Any chance we get the Development stuff back online? Especially the SCRUM video? It was awesome and I'd love to re-watch it.

I'd love to see a separated video about programming which digs deeper into programming methods like agile, scrum, programming structures / modules and planning of larger scaled programs - not based on source codes or specific programming languages. For me it was and is a hard step to plan new programs to be later adaptable to larger scales with more functions right from the start.
