TF2 pre production update #1

Good evening folks. Just a quick update for the end of the week.

I've had about 8 days going through the Team Fortress 2 streams. And things are going smoothly. There are 51 streams in total and I've nested 35 of them. Drawing out about 240 clips in total.

Obviously that's very good. Confirming that future TF2 bullshitteries are very viable. Probably involving 40-50 clips per episode.

Formula wise, it is very Rocket League'ish. In the sense that there's an overwhelming number of quick gags, due to the fast paced nature of the game. So it's within my best interest to lean into that as an editor and chain amusing moments together. Eventually including lots of Source Filmmaker cutaway gags to emphasize the silliness.

What I need to do now is:

• Finish going through the remaining streams - Properly nesting the clips from the recorded notes.
• Properly sort and tag the clips - Adding to their titles the level played and the TF2 class I was at the time.
• Slowly scrub some of the earlier streams - To find the opening moments of some of the recurring gags. Watching or listening to them carefully in real time.

The reason for the tagging is to help me chain clips together, for the same levels and classes. Meaning the audience doesn't become confused with rapidly changing colour pallets or quickly switching load outs.

And the reason for the slow scrubbing is to locate the useful moments unmarked in the notes, because they were only funny in hindsight. Such as the repeated catchphrases ("Blue is poo!", "Red is dead!"), or Quebec inducing extreme Spy paranoia due to his high skill at the class. Moments that would not be noted individually, but become funny in a montage and with context.

So please give me another week or so in the pre-production. And then I can think about starting a part 1 if you'd like me to?
