The Forest - Update #4 - First 30 minutes

Sorry for the delay, as I was rather hoping I'd have this ready by the end of last week. But there was just too much audio wonk that needed fixing. Hope you're all doing well.

I've finished a work in progress render for the first 30 minutes of The Forest video essay. There's a link here for those interested - https://youtu.be/VNk5Xa5nzJQ

It might feel a tad abrupt I'm afraid. Being sandwiched before an intro that needs a good rewrite and parts 7 to 10 which follow it. And there are some animations/scenes marked as "to do". But do tell me what you think thus far. As I start going down the bizarre rabbit hole that is this particular game.

So a breakdown on progress:

Week 1 - Assembling the broad structure of points
Week 2 - Filling out the first half of the script.
Week 3 - Filling out the second half of the script.
Week 4 - Audio recording and assembling of segments 1 to 6 (of a total of 24).
Week 5 - Making the visual component for segments 1 to 6.
Week 6 - Quality assuring the first segments 1 to 6.
Week 7 (this week) - Finalising quality assurance and moving onto segments 1 to 10.

Next I plan to continue audio cutting parts 7 to 10. In which many more questions are raised about the plot. And I once again try to highlight the importance of quality assurance in software. Particularly playtesting.

I expect in the next 3 weeks or so I'll have another 30 minutes for you.
