2023-12-17 17:02:59 +0000 UTCMy take is that the "don't look at my back" scene is a JoJo reference. Last part of Megumi's powers is that he can store and retrieve items/weapons from his shadows. I believe we saw him retrieve those special grade nunchucks for Maki in the fight against Hanami. We also saw Megumi use the same sword from today's episode in that fight. A couple enemies in this show have also made remarks about how despite being a shikigami user, Megumi is also comfortable in close combat, suggesting that it's an unusual skillset. One drip feed storyline that I think is interesting, is Sukuna's interest in Megumi. We got flashbacks where he speculates that Megumi is perhaps stronger than he thinks & shouldn't have run away and this episode he seemed pleased at how Megumi won his fight. As a viewer I think it's fair to not see potential in Megumi or in his abilities displayed, but you should wonder then, what are these other characters seeing in him? What does Sukuna, our villain, see in some random kid who's not even his host?
