You two definitely missed the origin of Tsubasa’s hypnosis. It’s Milaarc’s power, the Seal Invasion. It’s the reason she committed that terror attack on the theater, to shock Tsubasa and make it easier to implant the hypnosis on her. We saw her attempt to use it on Hibiki fail later, only applying a slight stun effect. Tsubasa’s freak out and rampage on the city was similarly triggered by a flash in her eyes and a bunch of Milaarc illusions, the direct result of Milaar’s ability. Her grandfather merely knows the words to activate the power too, as he likely hired them for the purpose of setting up this scheme to control Tsubasa. Also, Chris randomly saying “Put your hands up” in English will always be great.
