I'll just go ahead and drop the comment I wrote about it for next episode here, lol... "Okay, I went back and watched... according to the Castrop Rebellion episode, it says that the ministers of Finance and Justice came down on Castrop, and Castrop pushed back. During that scene Franz is on the ground, hands behind his back and a ton of people are surrounding him with guns aimed at him. Appearently, the takeaway from this scene is... when Castrop pushes back, you get away scot free with no reprocussions from the guy who slaps the shit out of his servants and says their lives are meaningless and to be sacrificed for him." 2024-03-15 12:32:14 +0000 UTCI hadn't noticed that you'd put Franz Mariendorf as dead in your chart, but he never was. He was sent to try and get Castrop to return a bunch of money they embezzeled before the rebellion, but was imprisoned on the planet. He also wasn't the Finance Minister, that was the head of the Castrop family and that's the position used to embezzle so much. Mariendorf was merely sent as a negotiator. I love just how many admirals on the rebel's side fully recognize how incredible Reinhard is. So many of them are basically just futilly begging the leaders to not fight a direct battle against him. They even disobey orders an attempt to attack his sister. The only result of which is justification for Reinhard to round up literally anyone that stands in his way, even if they weren't directly involved in the rebellion. At this point he's the second most powerful man in the Empire, only under the Regent. That being said, he's also got full control of the military thanks to arresting the Chief of Staff and the head of Supreme Command. Removing those two means there is not anyone else in the entire military with authority to rival his.
