Got a question for Aprilia boss Massimo Rivola?

What do YOU want ask to ask Aprilia MotoGP team boss Massimo Rivola?

He's sitting down with Simon and Val for an exclusive chat for The Race MotoGP Podcast at the Sachsenring this weekend - and we're giving all of you in The Race Members' Club chance to have your questions answered by Massimo too.

Some might appear in our main Rivola podcast episode but we'll also do a bonus MotoGP Extra podcast for the Members' Club where he tackles as many as he has time for!

So whether your question's about Aprilia's transformation into a frontrunner, incoming riders Jorge Martin and Marco Bezzecchi, outgoing riders Maverick Vinales or Aleix Espargaro, just ask in the comments below before Thursday morning and we'll put as many as we can to Massimo.

Eh, I'm jaded. Most of the bikes I see on the roads here in the Ozarks are black Hardly Davidsons, doing 10 under, lol.

Johnny Ross

So interesting that you don't like the black. I think it's the sharpest livery in the paddock

Gordon

Any chance to see Aprilia build a road going bike with some lessons from MotoGP and re-enter wsbk with a new weapon. In case you can’t tell from my avatar. That is me on my RSV4 at Laguna Seca

Moto Bell

Is Aprilia already good enough to win a championship? If not for Acosta we would think KTM has lost its way this year - similarly as good as Aleix and Maverick are, do you believe the bike is almost there and is the race to race inconsistency a rider issue?

Moto Bell

I’d be interested in knowing whether it was a conscious choice for Aprillia to not have a title sponsor for the factory team, which the other factory teams tend to have, or whether they just didn’t find a fitting sponsor.

Angelina

Congrats on getting Aprillia to where they are now. If you could change or remove one rule in Motogp what would it be.

Here are a few.. An easy one: If you weren’t in MotoGP, what would you do instead? And a bit tougher: How do you handle when there are avoidable screw-ups? There have been various mechanical issues that - perhaps - were avoidable, or the wrong engine-mapping settings that hampered Aleix in a race (Japan 2022 where he had to start from pitlane due to last-minute bike swap). What’s your approach to addressing things like this with the team, managing a rider (who might be heated, possibly unfairly so), and keeping everyone motivated? Grazie Massimo! and thank you The Race team for making it happen! Thanks from Colorado.

Hi Massimo, what are the key traits other than speed you look for in young riders coming through the ranks that would make them potential targets for Aprilia in the future?

Matthew Carrier

Hi Massimo, if the skills were transferable which F1 driver that you’ve worked with would be best suited to the MotoGP paddock and why?

Matthew Carrier

This is such a great set of questions so far! Loved how quickly they started pouring in after the first post too. Shows we need to do plenty of these interview specials! - Matt

Do you have any worries about the new partnership at the factory team with two new riders never having ridden the bike and their respective great but strong personalities. On a side note can Aprilia please ship their team T-shirts from the website to Ireland!? I love them and they are sold out on moto gp 😂

Colm

1. Do you think having two riders that have only ridden Ducatis in their motoGP career (a well rounded bike) will see them struggle to adapt to the Aprilla? What do you think are the weaknesses of the Aprilla that they will have to learn to overcome? 2. Do you believe losing someone that has had such an impact on development (i.e. Aleix) in exchange for two new riders is going to have a negative impact on progression moving forward?

Sepi Zimmer

Aprilia appears to have an advantage with aero development. What/who has contributed to this success. Will the change to reduced aero in the 2027 rules be a problem?

Hi Massimo! One of the more surprising silly season moves, in my opinion, was Aleix going to Honda to be a test rider. While I understand the move in a vacuum (wanting to help a struggling manufactuer regain their old glory etc), it seemed like Aleix becoming an Aprillia test rider was the logical, and easiest choice. Were there any conversations with Aleix about becoming test rider and/or conversations between him, you, or Aprillia about why he chose Honda? Thank you!

Hayes

Will you be changing the livery colors for 2025? Black is so boring and doesn't really fit Jorge or Bezz for this monumental occasion!

Johnny Ross

Massimo, if you could have a team with two previous Aprilia World Champions, who would you choose and why? And which bike would they ride?

Rachel Hillman

Great! First chance to interact since joining the patreon! Answer as many or as few as you like: 1. What is the ambition for next year with your new lineup; is it to win the championship in the first season? 2. Did you have interest in keeping Aleix as a test rider, or was that never the plan? 3. How has having a satellite team for 2 years now impacted the development of the bike? 4. What steps are being taken to ensure Aprillia are in the best position going into the rule changes in 2027?

Dan Neale

What can aprilia do or change on the bike to give ducati a run for there money every race? Would love to see different manufacturers on the podium regularly

Gerallt Ellis

Is there any possibility that Aprilia will enter Moto3? For me, when I think of 125cc, I think of Aprilia, and I always felt that having Aprilia in Moto3 would be fantastic

Seán Egan

What does he have to say regarding what has been said about Aprilia's reliability? How do plan to address it?? My other question is if they are expecting to grow the project's size as Martin and Bezz are coming to the factory team
