Her divine energy was draining away at an alarming rate. She mustered every ounce of strength to try to reclaim her power, but to no avail - her limbs would not obey and her consciousness grew hazy.
In the end, our goddess hero was defeated, falling into the clutches of the river monster. Deprived of her energy source, she was powerless to turn the tide. The water fiend opened its gaping maw, poised to deal Celeste the fatal blow and devour this guardian's godly might.
