There are many different reasons for this, but one gets blamed a lot: social media. Social media divides us, makes us more extreme and less empathetic, it riles us up or sucks us into doom scrolling, making us stressed and depressed. It feels like we need to touch grass and escape to the real world.
New research shows that we might have largely misinterpreted why this is the case. It turns out that the social media internet may uniquely undermine the way our brains work but not in the way you think.

Discount was only for highest subscription and you or Ground News on their landing page did not mention available free trial. If I would test their website and app I wouldn't decide to buy subscription. Ground News seems to be nice idea but execution is very bad. All news are very US centric. Local news are practicaly non existent. Site and app is very slow (seems to be slow on server side) and in general very poor UX quality. Please do more research about your sponsors before you decide to accept their offer.

Some of us remember what happened next - and remember that not all of us are on team Humanity. Some are on their own team, and when they trick enough people with stupid brains into following them, millions suffer for it. I know you put a lot of effort into this, andit shows. But you are also avoiding some very harsh realities, and giving cover to some very evil people with your golden mean fallacy - which I'm sure sounds very clever to your stupid brains. Please consider that if you want to present yourselves as big brained birds, that some rules come with exceptions - and it may be long overdue for you to start mentioning them.
