Pausing Billing *Indefinitely* and Life Update

Just a heads up, i'm pausing billing for my Patreon. In the hope of not catching too many people off guard with payments i'm getting this message out there early. DON'T PLEDGE going forward.

There will still be work coming out for the rest of this month, but after that i'll be looking at winding Patreon down entirely. (At least, for the foreseeable future assuming everything behind the scenes goes well - see below for info.)
This comes at a time when i'm just so burnt out and desperately needing a change from whatever it is that i've been doing currently. Folks who know me closely know i've not been doing well with regards to motivation and inspiration for a while already, and chances are if you've stuck by me through the years, you've noticed the reduction in work quantity. I've tried, but this sputtering along isn't good enough for me personally, and then for you all as well.

I'd also like to say that i couldn't have become the artist i am now without your help tossing me some money each month. It's honestly made such a massive difference, I don't think words can describe the impact it's had. You're talking the difference between the bf and I being able to get food sometimes. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

I love art and i love the fandom, so i'm not going anywhere in that regard. I'll still be haunting social media and i'll probably post the odd thing on Bluesky and FA here and there, but like, they're free so Patreon isn't all that necessary - plus it's one less thing to think about and one less site to maintain.

So what on earth am I going to do if not art? Well, I have tentative plans for getting into game dev and learning something new. I've been asked to get involved with a new game project that's fully 3D so it's another reason i'm looking at pulling back - if i'm learning an engine i can't be distracted by other obligations. The Winty brain retains only so much! ;-;

Daunting as the prospect is right now it's equally exciting! I get to learn a game workflow from modelling to publishing AND possibly blow the dust off my music making side as well to boot, so i'm really REALLY looking forward to that! I'll share more info with what and whom when i find out what's going on for definite.

I have maybe 3 or 4 comms to do art wise, and that's what i'm spending the rest of this month doing, but then i'm refocusing on that project. It's terrifying in a way, but also there's so much potential for growth that i'm feeling more and more that it's the right choice and now is the right time for it.

Anyway, I'm not really sure how to end this post without more rambling. Maybe knowing that it's not the end, it's just a change makes it a bit less final sounding.

(PS if everything goes well and i can close my Patreon with no worries, i'll find a way to get all the paid for content in a convenient place for free for everyone. I'm half tempted to replace uploaded content files on FA if it can support the file sizes, but maybe i'll make some kind of Onedrive rar file instead. I'll see what happens when i get some free time to do it...)
