hooray! this is my favorite studio ghibli movie. it's definitely a coming of age tale, all about Chihiro learning to become more independent and how to grow into her own strength so I understand why they shifted away from the parent aspect the way they did. on the other hand, I completely see where you're coming from with that. I think once you see more studio ghibli films, you'll get more used to that style of storytelling though. great reaction! I hope you get to howl's moving castle and kiki's delivery service at some point.

But ya I also heard after I picked it that Studio Gihbli was pretty strict on copyright. I can see why it took a while to put up.
