2021-07-23 00:04:28 +0000 UTCI know that you said you'd never rewatch this, but I would recommend it at least once to pick up on some of the themes that you might have missed. for example, this movie in essence is a story about the parallels between the realities of war and the innocence of childhood and what happens when that innocence is lost. but that's just the beginning. there are so many other things to look at, like the significance of why the adults couldn't see the faun but Ofelia could. there's even debates about whether or not Ofelia actually went to the become a princess or if the whole fairytale aspect was something she made up to cope with the harsh realities of her life. I choose to believe the former because of certain evidences in the film but many say it's up to interpretation. anyway, I could discuss this beautiful film all day as you can tell haha I love it so much! glad you enjoyed it, even if you won't watch it multiple times like I do haha
