In other news, I’m fully recovered from my illness (it was ecoli food poisoning) and am in great shape from moving all these boxes!
Patreon got back to me about the page that got pulled and they basically sent me a form letter response telling me the same thing, so…yeah, I’ll keep posting here, but I’m definitely launching my subscribestar page in January.

2024-12-16 20:34:52 +0000 UTCYes it is. Moderation is often first on the chopping block when a large service platform wants to squeeze more profit out of their operation. Even assuming there's a human on the other end, they're likely to be overworked, underpaid and not particularly well trained. It's also bad for their own job security to admit they have made a mistake - which is why I didn't really expect this appeal to go anywhere (even though they're trivially in the wrong).

You're likely to be on their naughty list now, and if you just continue posting as if nothing had happened, there's a not-insignificant chance their next step will be to take action against your account. My guess is, they probably regard last week's takedowns as a slap on the wrist. People have reported getting banned with no forewarning.
