"You're finally awake."
男の声が、静かに響いた。
A man's voice echoed quietly through the small room.
「あれ……ゴブリンは……？」
"Wait... the goblins...?"
「……無事か？」
"Are you alright?"
その声を聞いた瞬間、千夜の肩から力が抜けた。
The moment she heard his voice, all tension drained from Chiyo’s shoulders.
「……なんで、ここに……？」
"Why are you here...?"
顔を上げると、そこには――かつて地上で身体を重ねたとある冒険者の姿。
She looked up, and there stood the adventurer she had once shared a night with on the surface.
「お前が危ないって聞いて、探しに来たんだ。」
"I heard you were in danger. Of course I came."
彼の手が鎖を外し、そのまま彼女を強く抱きしめる。
He unshackled her wrists, then pulled her tightly into his arms.
「チヨーッ！！」
"Chiyo!!"
通路の奥から聞き覚えのある声が響き、千夜はびくりと肩をすくめた。
A familiar voice echoed from the corridor, making Chiyo flinch.
ミレイが息を切らしながら飛び込んでくる。
Mirei came rushing in, breathless and wide-eyed.
彼の腕の中にいる千夜を見て、目をぱちくりとさせた。
Her eyes widened as she saw Chiyo in the adventurer's arms.
「あれ……なにその距離感？」
"Uh… what’s with the closeness?"
千夜はあわてて身を引いた。
Chiyo quickly pulled back in a fluster.
「ち、違うのっ！ 今その、助けてもらって……」
"N-no, it’s not like that! He just, um, helped me..."
その後、一行はギルドへと戻り、簡単な報告と確認を済ませた。
After that, they returned to the guild, completed a brief report and check-up.
ミレイは千夜を一人にしてしまった事を改めて謝り、肩を落としながら家に帰っていった。
Mirei apologized again for leaving Chiyo alone, her shoulders slumping as she quietly headed home.
千夜は一人、しばらく迷った後、ある場所へと向かう――。
Left alone, Chiyo hesitated for a moment… then began walking to one particular place.
「……入っても、いい？」
"...Can I come in?"
「もちろん」
"Of course."
千夜はそっと扉を開けると、木の香りのする室内に一歩足を踏み入れた。
Chiyo gently pushed the door open and stepped into the wooden-scented room.
「今日は……助けてくれて、ありがとう」
"Thank you… for saving me today."
「何かお礼がしたくて……」
"I just... wanted to thank you somehow..."
彼は微笑みながら「無茶するなよ」と言い、肩に手を添えた。
He smiled, said “Don’t push yourself so hard,” and placed a hand gently on her shoulder.
彼の腕の中で、千夜はそっと目を閉じた。あの夜と、同じぬくもりに包まれながら――。
Chiyo closed her eyes in his arms, wrapped once again in the same warmth as that night...
「……今日は、好きにしていいよ……」
"...Tonight... you can do whatever you want..."
