リン-ミニストーリー 『涼しさを求めて』 Mini Story: Rin - In Search of Coolness (2/3) 【R18】

「あれ……？普通の町じゃん」
“Huh…? This just looks like a normal town.”

扉を抜けた先――リンが見たのは、石畳の道と屋根のある建物が並ぶ、どこかカストレアにも似た風景だった。
Beyond the door, what greeted Rin wasn’t a frozen wonderland, but a stone-paved street lined with houses—something not unlike Castrea.

確かに空気はひんやりとしていて、体感温度はだいぶ涼しい。けれど、思っていた“氷の世界”とはなんだか違う。
The air was cool, refreshing even. But this wasn’t quite the “world of ice” she had expected.

「もうちょっとこう……全部カチコチ！みたいなの想像してたんだけどなぁ〜〜」
“I was totally expecting, like, frozen solid everything~…”

それでも、暑さで限界だったリンの目的は変わらない。
Still, Rin hadn’t forgotten her original goal—beating the heat.

「ま、いっか！まずは水風呂！！」
“Eh, whatever! Ice bath, here I come!!”

彼女は建物の案内板に目をやり、“冷泉”と書かれた文字を見つけると、迷うことなく駆け出していった。
She spotted a sign that read Cool Springs and without a moment’s hesitation, dashed off in that direction.

辿り着いたのは、木のぬくもりが残る大きな露天風呂だった。
She arrived at a large open-air bath, its warm wooden structure glowing softly under the light of hanging lanterns.

湯けむりではなく、白く冷たい息が風に乗って揺れている。
There was no rising steam—only cold, misty breath floating gently through the air.

そして、水面には――氷のキューブが、静かにぷかぷかと浮かんでいた。
And on the surface of the water, clear ice cubes drifted calmly, shimmering under the soft light.

「……うわ、なにここ、最高すぎる……」
“…Wow. This place is actual heaven…”

ばしゃんッ！！
Splash!!

氷のキューブが跳ね、水しぶきがランタンの灯をゆらした。
The ice cubes bobbed and danced as the splash sent ripples shimmering through the lantern light.

「っっっっっっひゃぁあああああッ！！冷たっっ！！でも気持ちぃぃぃ！！！」
“HHHHHYYYYAaaaAAAHHH!! So freaking cold!! But it feels so goooood!!”

肩まで冷水に浸かり、息を切らしながらニヤニヤするリン。
With the icy water up to her shoulders, Rin gasped for breath—then grinned from ear to ear.

キューブがいっぱい浮かんだ深い浴槽、冷気が立ち上る浅い石風呂、ひとり用の小さな木桶――
A deep tub filled with floating cubes, a shallow stone bath with rising cold mist, a small wooden tub for one–

そこから彼女は、浴場内に点在するいろんな氷風呂をひとつずつ制覇し始めた。
From there, she began “conquering” each of the various icy baths scattered throughout the open-air facility.

ついでに“あそこ”もちゃんと冷やしておいた。
And while she was at it, she made sure to cool that part down too.

冷たさに慣れていない場所を一気に冷やしたせいか――ほんの少し、ピクッと体が跳ねた。
Maybe it was because she wasn’t used to the cold in that area—her body gave a tiny, involuntary twitch.

「……ん、やば、ちょっとイッたかも……」
“…Oof. That might’ve made me come just a little…”

顔を赤らめつつ、リンは水の中に沈んでいく。

Blushing, Rin slowly sank into the water.

そろそろ出ようかな・・・
Maybe I should get out soon...

……そんな彼女の様子を、風呂の奥からじっと見つめる視線があった。
…From the far end of the bath, a quiet gaze had been watching her.

そこに立っていたのは、氷の彫像のような男。――
Standing there was a man like a statue carved from ice.

湯の向こうから、その無表情の“何か”が、静かに言葉を落とした。
Across the bath, the faceless figure spoke softly.

「……人間は、そうやって熱を放つのか」
“…So that’s how humans release heat?”

「！？」リンは反射的に体を隠した。
“!?” Rin reflexively tried to cover herself.

よくあたりを見渡すと女性の形の様なものも何体か現れ始めた。
As she looked around more carefully, several more figures—shaped like women—began to appear.

「うわぁ・・・ねえ……あなた達、氷でできてるの？」
“Whoa… Hey… are you all made of ice too?”

体を隠すのも忘れて、興味本位からリンはずいっと近づいた。
Forgetting to hide herself, Rin stepped forward with pure curiosity.

「すごーい！触ってもいい？」
“That’s so cool! Can I touch you?”

無言のまま、氷の男は動かない。
The faceless man remained motionless.

彼の体表に手を当てると、キン…と冷たく、まるで本物の氷壁のようだった。
When she placed her hand against his body, a sharp chill ran through her fingers—it was like pressing against a wall of solid ice.

「うわっ、マジで氷だ〜〜っ！いいね〜〜♡」
“Whoa! You’re seriously made of ice! I love it~!”

「ちょっとだけ、このまま涼ませて？……ね、動かないで♡」
“Let me cool off like this for a bit, okay? …Don’t move~♡”

あっ……ここも、氷みたいに冷たいんだ……
“Ah... so even this part is cold as ice…”

「あなた達のこと、もう少し教えてよ！」
“Tell me more about you guys!”

異世界慣れしているリンは、見慣れない存在にもぐいぐいと距離を詰めていくのだった。
Rin, already well-accustomed to otherworldly beings, had no hesitation getting up close and personal with these unfamiliar figures.

──こうしてリンは、氷の民とさらに深く関わるため、その場所を後にした。
And so, to get to know them even better, Rin left the bath behind…
