Update: I am working from home as my place of business finally closed. I had volunteered to be the last man standing in any contingency as I felt it was my duty to do so for a few reasons:
1. Sick ass Overtime
2. I'd be the only person there, meaning I'd not be encumbered by the fuckadoodles that make my job difficult and therefore I could get a SHITLOAD more done
3. Many of my coworkers are either old, have lung issues, or have family that do and they're pretty much scared shitless. I ride public transit every day and I've been dealing with Germs the size of turtles my entire adult life so I'm not terribly worried. I have the immune system of a dinosaur. I think that's a good thing.
Anyways, Worry not about Tex. Tex is prepared. Tex has supplies. Tex is working from home (safely) and that leads me to the next thing. Fun shit that Tex is doing.
Tex is practicing safe isolation as one should in these situations, meaning if I can't have fun at work I will have fun at home. That means a good bit of content creation. Tex n' Mike are blazing away on the next Tex Talks battletech along with a few other projects, namely the BPL Podcast idea which should take off relatively soon. Mostly. Kind of. We'll see.
We're also going to be considering doing some streaming, as people could sure use the entertainment right now and everything on Netflix and amazon seems a bit fucking broken with everyone trying to watch it. If you want to watch these streams, I'd recommend making sure your notifications are set. Strangely enough, more people on youtube have said notifications are working now that they've sent everyone home. Point for me.
Also - Look, I've had a few people say "Tex, I cant fund you anymore due to concerns about X and Y". I'm going to tell you that's absolutely fine. You MUST look after yourself FIRST and FOREMOST. I have a job. I will not be out in the streets raiding people for toilet paper if you have to watch your wallets for a while. Shit's scary out there. I acknowledge that. Just remember we're all in this shit together, and by exercising a little good caution I think we'll pull through. This can be a momentous moment in the history of humanity - where we learn to appreciate each other a little more, help each other a little more, and love each other a little more. Crisis often reminds us of what's important. I only ask you be safe. I'll update you guys when I'm ready.
TA TA FOR NOW.
