END OF MONTH UPDATE N' SHIT

Tex Talks Battletech: Part 1 of Episode 2 of Exodus to Elementals is donezo. There are 5 parts. These things take a while and with me being "essential Personnel" I am now picking up as many f'ing hours as I can at work to compensate for us being way down on labor and manpower. Basically I'm one of those idiots who they put in charge of a thing and now realized they sent everyone home who works on that thing. So now the thing is my problem. Thing. That is the job. No like. Mike is powering through and we're keeping each other up to date on our project(s), so progress is being made. Worry not. We're thinking (if all goes well - we did have a technical hiccup last week with a fucked PC part resulting in a loss of progress) that we can get this fucker done by late April/Early May.

As it turns out, making feature-length plus documentaries is hard. Making them with any sort of quality control is harder. But its what we want to do, so bear with.

Secondly - I've gone out of my way, and the legion has answered my call on "project dumptruck" as I call it. There's a lot of us stuck indoors right now, stuck watching tv or working from home or watching streamers do what streamers do for money. In short, we're now having to figure out how to entertain ourselves in a world where our house is the playground. Here's where project dumptruck comes in - myself and many legionnaires have volunteered our time to ensure that there's a regular stream of content on this channel. Ensure notifications are set and you should see something damn near every day if not multiple times a day. Its the legions way of staying busy in these trying times, and uplifting each other with solid content. There's some fun roguelikes being played and other silly entertainment afoot. In short, the legion has you covered. We're working OT to ensure your days are filled with the necessary quota of fart jokes.

Thirdly - BPL Podcast will be a thing (by popular request - strangely enough). Starting next month we'll put up some episodes on spotify/google podcastything and a few others. It'll be free. No paywall. No annoying "BROUGHT TO YOU BY AUDIBLECAPTAINCRUNCHANDAMWAY". Just content made by friends.

Fourth - Its the end of the month fuckos. Patreon will charge on the 1st. If you need to save money or buy beans, bullets and bandaids, I wont feel hurt if you wanna pocket some dosh. Please do so! I don't do this for a living and by god I don't want to ever take from somebody who could use it better than I. Please do see after yourselves first!

That's all for now

You're most welcome sir. Keep your chin up. Keep your stick on the ice

THE BLACK PANTS LEGION

I want to thank you, dearly, for making the TTB series because it's helped explain in amusing detail the sheer scale of the Battletech universe to friends who are entirely interested after watching me play the HBS games and also talking about my love for the universe. Thank you! PS: I feel your pain, I work at a Supermarket and if the avatar doesn't give it away and its fun to be working as an 'essential' employee with customers not understanding distance and etc. I've been picking up extra hours, its rough but the paycheck will be nice.

Hey, you know how best you operate and noone outside your head can tell you otherwise. Lord knows I'm turning hard into the wind on a few of my own projects...wouldn't happen to know the secret to extending days to about thirty hours each would you? Because that's science I'd pay for.

Captain Hazelwood

I will be. Once this crisis passes, I intend to return squarely back to NOMINAL OPERATIONS and anybody who doesn't like it can blow me.

THE BLACK PANTS LEGION

Seriously though, how does this much work not drive you insane? I know back in the days of steel plant madness working 84+ hour weeks while trying to fit working out and a project car into the schedule...I turned hard left into drinking and mental illness. I know you've been forced to slow down but God damn...your work ethic reminds me way too much of mine and that is worrisome. I genuinely hope you are taking care of yourself.

Captain Hazelwood

Found one. :D

Captain Hazelwood

part 2 is going to be 2+ hours long. They're broken into sub-parts. What I meant to communicate was sub-part 1 of part 2 is now finished. She's a biggun

THE BLACK PANTS LEGION

I am a bit confused, So part 1 was 1 part, and part 2 is five parts? So how long are the five parts? 10 minutes each or 2 hours? or?

Dark Azial

good work to everyone whose helping out, luckily for me both my school and my work are still active (albeit affected in their own ways) so i still get plenty of resources that i can waste in any way i see fit coming in, keep your heads up and your hands washed.

All I can say is they are out there, and a man must search.

THE BLACK PANTS LEGION

Don't you worry Tex, we'll all Black Watch our way through this together. Global pandemic is just an inconvenience... until one coughs ones lungs out and dies, but then ones sorry ass is someone elses problem anyway.

Sons of Lorgar

For once in my life...the struggle bus has this far bypassed me so I'll keep delivering burgers. I am curious how the heck I find the door man for the legion...have had no luck finding clues in video credits.

Captain Hazelwood

I fucking love your documentaries on Battletech stuff, It was my first introduction to tabletop wargaming. Thanks a bundle for what you do.

WinglessRayven

Hahaha awesome

Fun fact liquor stores are considered essential services. At least in Denton County where I’m at.

Michael Kimberling

Can I get an Essientials bar?!

I feel you on that first bit about being the guy that has to run everything. I’m a service plumber so I’m also essential personnel according to my local area. For some reason they think clean water keeps people healthy. Just a suggestion I think but who knows.
