Take a weekend. Listen to the crickets and the stars. And see which beer can has the best well can. Fuck that train.

2022-08-10 02:23:15 +0000 UTCHey Tex Really enjoyed your battletech 101 however I've started to notice a load of your content isn't appearing on my feed or notifications now.

2022-07-27 07:22:53 +0000 UTCThanks for the update Tex, they're always welcome. I hear what you saying about parasocial relationships, but I've kind of always seen personalities I like kind of like a cool guy you meet at the bar. You share a couple drinks, throw some darts, have some great conversation, but in the end you both go home and you never know if you'll see each other again. I think a good example for myself would be the author Kentaro Miura, the author of Berserk. I cried when he died not because I ever met the man but because his work touched my life in a meaningful and encouraging way. I owe him a debt for that, much like I owe you and the Black Pants Legion for what you've given me. Kind of makes me think of Slaughter House 5. Nothing lasts forever, but the beauty of the moment is eternal. Thank you mister Tex and the team for some kick ass moments😁. Question: I've recently been getting into a mini game called Deepwars. Have you heard of it before and if so what are your thoughts? If you haven't heard of it before the best way to describe it is 20,000 leagues meets HP Lovecraft meets Aquaman. Even if you aren't interested in the game the setting is pretty cool👍

2022-07-27 02:20:29 +0000 UTCYou really hit the head on the nail there with the house analogy tex. I regretted buying my condo back in 2010 when I had money. Then I lost that great job...had my life blow up in my face hard..and now am working a shit job for a TON less money, but I'm making it. And my condo has more than doubled in value. So in another 5 to 10 years when I think about retiring..i'm going to have some money to do it. Invest in the long haul, people.

2022-07-26 14:32:52 +0000 UTCGreat update, looking forward to the 101 battle tech...and the Charger vid..and well..really whatever is next. You keep being you, Tex. Try not to let life get you down, and play RPGs. I just finished one of the BEST games of my life. I took an okay system (Saga ed. Star Wars) threw out all the shit that didn't work, used my 40+ years as a GM/DM to just make a freak'n FUN encounter that everyone at the table just bought into completely. It had highs...and lows...and in the end they won! But they earned it. They earned that victory. And that's what made it awesome! So make sure you take at least 3 to 4 hrs every 2 weeks (every week would be better..) to play an RPG. It'll fight that depression monster. You'll have ups and downs but in the end you'll earn your victory. HAWKMEN!!! DIIIIIIVE!

2022-07-26 10:46:57 +0000 UTCYou got it right! got to admit that tickled me a little that you went and looked up how to say my name, thought that was really cool of you. Anyways story time. back in 2015 i was working as a Mormon missionary in South Korea (not going to shove anything towards anyone now that part of my life is behind me). So anyways at the end of the week all the missionaries send their weekly stats to their district leaders. I was said district leader and literally every one who was supposed to report stats to me was routinely late which meant that my superiors were on my butt for stats i didn't have cause they forgot or were just slow. So I decided to have some fun with this. One day I called up a companionship who were late and in full pirate accent proceeded to yell as loud as I could "AVASSST YEEEE, YEE HAVE FORGOTTON TO SEND YER STATS, SEND THEM PROMPTLY OR YEE SHALL WALK THE PLANK"! Bless her heart the first time i did this the missionary on the other end of the phone dropped it more or less out of fear. Anyways an angry pirate yelling at them to send their stats seemed to get their attention and they dubbed this persona Captain Maughan, Captain Maughan was then pulled out anytime someone forgot to report their stats. After i got back to the US i decided to take that as my username cause it still makes me laugh. Anyways Thanks for all you do Tex, hope things are going well for you.

2022-07-26 05:01:48 +0000 UTCIt's 2780. Amaris is dead and the Star League high council convenes. Through no machinations (or fault) of your own, you have been named First Lord. What is your first official action?

2022-07-26 02:24:30 +0000 UTCMy favorite museums are the little ones; the product of someone's passion about a specific thing. There's a pigeon museum in Oklahoma City - in the grand scheme of museums it ain't much, sure; but the passion and care is palpable. Big museums are wonderful things, but I remember small-town and local museums far more fondly.
