Tex, I just want to start off by saying this: I've been watching ur videos for a lil while, and I'm fairly certain that I've watched the text talks battletech play list from start to finish well over a dozen times. Especially the amaris civil war and exodus to elementals, I love how you tell the story of how star league rose, fell, then mutated into the clans out in the deep periphery. And it comforts me to know that u have autism, as this is something I've been dealing with for my entire life. I'm not even 30 yet, although my facial hair would say different. Anyway, I love the dedication to your craft and the level of detail that you put into each and every video that you produce. Hell, sometimes when I can't fall asleep, I put on the amaris civil war, and I'm asleep in 20 minutes. Not to say that it's boring, but that you have a very soothing voice. It's like Bob Ross put the paint brush down and decided to talk about giant stony death robots. I love it. And I will be happily supporting you and your channel for as long as possible, bcuz there aren't a lot of youtubers that make stuff like you and your team. You are exceptionally unique as far as YouTube is concerned. And I love the long form videos that are multiple hours long. Anyway, to close out this diatribe, I admire the fact that you and your team are willing to stick to your morals when decides to throw you into a volcano bcuz you don't agree with their twisted view of life. I admire that you do what you do, and you don't let other people bother you about it. And I appreciate that you let anyone in to little social group that has coalesced around you. Even clanner scum, so long as they don't try to declare batchalls and claim bondsman out of everyone else in attendance. I love battletech, and I love your channel, and I'll be supporting you for a very, very long time. And one more thing, remember to take a break. Go outside, smell some flowers, enjoy life.

It's amazing how few people realize that people have lives outside the internet. Or they are just straight-up shit birds. That's always special. Disappointing, but that seems to be how the world works. Maybe, eventually, we'll learn... it seems like we are though, in our quiet nerdy corners of the internet. People are getting more and more serious about defending what's ours. What's been ours. From back when you got bullied for liking shit like this and that's what united us and all that mattered. It's weird that I miss that now. I said it in my comment on the last post. I wish our hobbies would stop being popular again. That people would ditch Critical Role and forget about DND. That Magic cards wouldn't be worth the price of small cars. Then maybe we could get back to quiet back rooms that smelled kinda funny instead of feeling like we need to defend ourselves and our communities from people who seem to just want to find something else to light on fire. I don't think that belongs to any one political group or another. Shithead comes in all flavors.

Here's what I think about the whole creator politics matters concept. I disagree with probably 98% of Hollywood's politics. If I couldn't disconnect the work of an actor/director/studio/whatever from the work they do I'd never watch another TV show or movie EVER. Perfect example. De Niro. Dude's a nutcase and a hypocrite politically. He's made his entire career from shoot 'em up cop movies and gangster shit, even applied for his own concealed carry permit several times, but supports gun control and not allowing the rest of us to carry. Fuck him. But, I still love me some De Niro on screen.

I just wanted to thank you Tex. I don't have a lot to say on the attackers. I am becoming an old man, and I don't really get it. I enjoy your series because it brings me comfort. I too have PTSD, Depression and rage issues. I can empathize with you but as a survivor I will never know what's going on as we are all different. Anyway, I wanted to say one thing that helped me after 30 years of fighting. J.A.D.E. it helped me so much with deal with toxic people. Justify, Argue, Defend, and Explain. You do not need to do any of it. Ever. You may want to, but often it only attracts more Trauma. I won't tell you it's perfect, but when I want to attack or defend myself, I ask myself if i am JADEing. The next question is "Do I need to? Will it help me?" often those two questions bring me back down to either ignore it, pass it, or in rare situations give clarifications. You might have known this phrase, you might not. If it helps you once, then this reply did good. If you don't use it I wish you well in whatever method works for you. I like you videos Tex. I like you in the videos for what i can see. I genuinely wish you... peace. something that has evaded me. Yet.

Tex, I have to confess that I was completely unaware of all of the vitriol directed towards you until the other day when I first saw this & your prior post where you announced you were taking a week to consider your next move. In a word, I'm genuinely sorry that you've had to deal with all that. As for all the drama, I will only say this: Without going into detail about my own political/ethical/moral views, if I learn or suspect that someone I interact with, consume content from, have done business with, etc, has political/ethical/moral views I object to, I simply disengage and part ways with such people silently. That is as it should be. This is a community surrounding shitposts and gaming content, not an airport; no one needs to or should announce their departure. Having constructive debate & discussions over such topics is one thing, but trying to browbeat, intimidate, and strongarm someone - whether in person or over the Internet - into siding with or voicing support for your views, when they don't agree with them or would rather just stay silent because they prefer to keep their thoughts to themself on it is not just wrong, it's counterproductive. My Dad, may he rest in peace, always taught me that if you disagree with someone on something like that, and you can't have a debate or discussion with them amicably, it's best to avoid that topic with them if possible, and stop interacting with them at all, if necessary. In closing, Tex, I am happy to continue supporting your content, and I wish you & your team the best.

Holy shit Tex, your depression and the ten +year struggle is like my metabolic disease. I know well wishes from a text box doesn't mean much, but I'm here as Auxiliary for life! Friggin Dr.s eh? They're hope evangelists, and not completely free over here in Canada. Health is gut bacteria, and I'll keep trying everything I can to help myself. Never give up, you can put down your irons, but never leave them out of sight.
