WILKOMMEN TO 2023

Comments

Charger video was top tier. Great Christmas gift! On another, more real note, thank you for allowing -- in Ukraine on the AUX. I sent him a fuck-all huge box of battletech goodness and it arrived in time for Christmas. He's been a huge boon on my life. Wouldn't have met him if not for you and the BPL.

It would be cool if Catalyst reintroduced the Battlespace box set for those interested in naval combat in the BattleTech universe. I got a lot of mileage out of the old one back in the day. It's probably not going to happen, but one can dream.

Just a friendly reminder that there's a canonical Battletech character named Dick Thunder and I can't think of any group better equipped to appreciate this. https://www.sarna.net/wiki/Dick_Thunder

Got started the new year with getting covid for the first time. It's gotta be all uphill from here right?

I just want to say that Its been a while since I laughed as hard as when Dep poked that bartender in the face with the cane on Kansas Kung Fu. Thank you.

Hey Tex, still praying for you speedy recovery and hope we see results soon. Always greatful for the updates and especially greatful for the Charger deep dive. Many thanks my dude😁 Question: I recently re-watched your Timberwolf video, it will always be a Timberwolf 😜, and was thinking about the point you made at the end that quantity often is more important than quality and most of the time I would agree. However, there are historical examples like the battle of Thermopolis, the American revolution, or the Winter war where quality does come out on top. So my question is where is the line that separates the two?

I have been here for a bit now, I thank you for the creation encouragement, all will see it on the AUX discord sometime in 2023. It is something I have NEVER done and I have told only few about. It is nerve racking and exciting at the same time. You and other creators associated with the BLP and the AUX, have inspired me to do this. Not trying to use this as any kind of promotional springboard, I just wanted to thank you.

Ah yes. 2020-3. Having been fighting my own bout of 'ill' and its lingering symptoms since November, I hope your condition improves. I'd love to see a review of the Hunchie. I just hope at one point we'll see my own favorite most-milquetoast-of-mediums, the Chameleon.

The Annihilator. The Veiw from the cockpit and the overall vibe makes me think this is not a battlemech, this is a piece of earthmoving equipment re-purposed into a siege-engine. BAGGER-288, BAGGER-288!!

Highly anticipating 'Tex Talks History', dunno what form exactly it'll take.. buuuut.. I just tried picturing the production values you've been pushing into Battlemechs being applied to the Deutschland-class 'Not a Battleship, Honest!' and I may have squee'd a bit.

Regarding those three Capellan 'mechs: I had assumed the Vindicator was one of 'em, since it's just a great all-around medium 'mech. My other guess would have been the Cataphract, but mainly because that's the only other decent chassis that I know to be Capellan in origin. But I had COMPLETELY forgotten that the Raven is also a Capellan design. Well, shit. Say what you will about the Capellan Confederation, those sunzabitches can at least come up with cool 'mech designs!

D-grade YouTuber? C'mon man, surely even YOU can admit that you've graduated to C, maybe even C+. You've even got that silver-ish plaque! But I kid. I know it's important to you to stay humble, and that's cool. To be serious, I just wanted to mention that the Lucky Number 7 segment hit home. I'm not normally a sentimental guy, and I actually found myself getting emotional over what basically amounted to cargo falling off a truck. So for what it's worth, I think that whatever memory you were drawing on was done absolute justice by the writing, the delivery, and the score. O7
