Listening to the recent podcast I couldn't help laughing at the ChatGPT pulp writer idea. I recently did exactly that, forcing the poor AI to write me the basic outline of a few books. The best one was actually a BattleTech story about a male mech warrior from Canopus who's family is killed so he goes ape shit and nearly dies on a suicide mission for revenge only to find that the friends he's made along the way have become his new family. It's cheesy, but the basic plot point we're all there! Anyways, last time I remembered to ask a question it was about freelancer, so what do you think that story would have been like, had the end of the production not been a cluster? Thanks again, and I know you hear it 30 times a day but keep up the good work.

2023-03-21 14:05:02 +0000 UTCI've really enjoyed the military podcast episodes with your coworker(s)! They've been very informative and I love that the positions and perspectives are backed up with facts and logic. You've taught us to not be too trusting of media information sources, but I'd frankly rather learn about the present conflict from members of *REDACTED* than some random redditor. Tl;dr: really enjoyed it, and I hope these episodes becomes a regular feature.

2023-03-18 23:54:55 +0000 UTCYou sounded a lot better this week, so I hope that's a sign you're recovering well and that it continues. And as for the Military-Industrial Context episode, I found it fascinating. It felt like getting a glimpse behind the curtain at things that are rarely acknowledged in civilian life. I think I always assumed the military would have people to analyze footage and combat outcomes (just like most businesses have data/marketing analysts) but I would likely never have gotten to hear from or about those people in an actual human context. So, I thank you guys for putting that out there.

2023-03-17 02:04:54 +0000 UTCLet's ask the serious question here. The important one. Mister Tex (and the rest of you, lads), what's your favourite way to prepare and grill a steak?

2023-03-16 07:16:08 +0000 UTCHey Tex, you hit a nerve, a good one. That nerve was on the creation, the keeping up on production. I sometimes fear that it won't be interesting enough for people to enjoy it. I am doing the BOLD comic for the AUX, and I have those feelings of inadequacy. I won't give up if nothing else to finish the job, correctly. I'm doing it for myself more than anything. I have been diagnosed with anxiety, and this explains a lot about starting things. My therapist says it's a good step. I hope you know, you are part of that influence. It helps to know that something like this can be done by non-professional. You do you, we'll do us!

2023-03-16 05:15:52 +0000 UTCHey Tex, I have a few Magistratum Mundanus artefacts that I'm working on and I'd like to send them to you and the players, do you still have a not LOCATION REDACTED address that things can be sent to? If so I'll email you, no worries on getting back to me immediately as I know you have an email backlog to go through and things are still works in progress, thanks again as always

2023-03-15 21:55:17 +0000 UTCHAHAHAHAHA Sorry the Capellans fighting Taurians cast as a boo boo is a wonderfully hilarious metaphor to make...I'm stealing that

2023-03-15 21:52:09 +0000 UTCBut you are into Japanese robots Tex, you are. ;) Each new 'old'Robot anime I watch, I occasionally get surprised by an Unseen showing up! Always a good laugh to turn the whole story into a Periphery tale! Be well.

2023-03-15 14:59:33 +0000 UTCThe gauntlets were more for dog issues, but the still looked cool. Thanks for taking the time to entertain the grab bag of nonsense tht is my stream of consciousness. As always the work that you and the rest of the BPL do is great. Fun work story, as a new carrier I learned that if you are carrying in the hood and you don't look like you belong there, you best look crazy so people will give you a wide berth. Laughing out loud in a half crazed tone is great bc people will look and decide "no thank you, I want no part of that" and they will leave you be

2023-03-15 12:56:30 +0000 UTCHowdy Tex! Thanks for the hard work you guys do, it is much appreciated. I recently read a book named "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho and one of the themes of the book is the idea that the energy that you allow to control your perspective will color the effect you have on the world around you. I see the truth of this in your work. Despite the hardships you endure you always seem to try and overcome and that spirit I find to be encouraging. Your doing good work hoss, just thought you should knowπ Question: I'm working on a naval, scifi, war game and am borrowing inspiration from a number of sources, battletech of course being one of them. In order to do critical damage to systems I want to divide them into separate parts of the ship to see what gets knocked out. So the question is if you had to divide a ship into five major areas what would they be? I say five because I'm using a D10 for the game dice.
