That's a lot trickier because there is a lot less for us to work with and a fair bit of what we think we know is extrapolated backwards from Diocletian. Sadly one does not inscribe in stone how to do business when everything is working well.

2023-03-28 18:52:50 +0000 UTCCheck into the economic reforms of Diocletian, they give a wonderful snapshot of the Roman economy at the end of the third century and what was being done to stave off demographic collapse. Also, I highly recommend "Escape from Rome" by Walter Schiedel

2023-03-28 18:32:17 +0000 UTCI started listening to "All Quiet on the Western Front" and I started thinking, in regards to tye Succession Wars it seems like the story is happening all over the Inner Sphere regardless of affiliation. Is there any house army you think the story would apply to more than another?

2023-03-27 17:43:09 +0000 UTCI'm determined to drag my friends, kicking and screaming, into enjoying battletech lore with me. In your opinion, what's the best order, for a complete newbie, to watch Tex Talks in? Start, chronologically, with the Mackie? BT101? Or in the order you've produced them (ie. Awesome; in the YT playlist order)

2023-03-26 06:35:59 +0000 UTCI just realized Ameris actually did something not terrible during his reign of terror....he gave us back Golden Corrale. Its not a high class establishment, but if you want to dip fried chicken into chocolate fondue...they won't stop you

2023-03-22 16:57:32 +0000 UTCHi Tex. Loved the industrial context episode. It got me wondering at what the industrial complex of ancient Rome would have looked like. Would there have been the Boeing, Raytheon, and Lockheed Martin equivalents, all bidding for contracts on arms manufacture or was it more a state run thing? Nothing new under the sun but I may be looking at 1ce industry with a 21ce mindset
