Initial TTH response / Q&A

Took a look weekend to go watch the premiere with some friends. My initial response is Yes, youtube is throttling me. Yes, I'm used to it. It sucks but it is what it is.

The history lesson was great. I went in knowing about the bullet and knew it was a slow mo train wreck, but I never just how bad it was behind the scenes.

I didn't realize they'd let me write a thesis for a profile name and now I'm channelling my inner Fallout Boy

Hey Tex, two thoughts. A: TTH was, hands down, you and the team’s best work yet. The editing was seriously dope. B: I’ve found my new favourite thing is watching AMSR videos of gunsmiths restoring old guns that have been left to rot…I dunno why, but I find it soothing to see time and care used to bring out the original craftsmanship of something.

TTH was wonderful; congratulations to the whole team. It was just as great as TTBT. I've been sharing it with what few people I know (at least, the ones who would be able to appreciate it). I believe the documentary that you guys have made has a Quality Factor of 10.

G'day Mr Tex, I've been informed by some of the fellas that using the search engine for your video as proven difficult due to the minimal usage of nondescript search hashtags for those not already subscribed to the BPL, I hope this helps. Watching the prelude to this video was quite interesting as I was not aware of Hiram's attempt at dabbling in aviation, the freedom to dabble in innovative adventurism was certainly something back in those days. It reminded me of when a bloke named Ben Carlin modified a Ford GPA into the equivalent of an amphibious camper van in New York and proceeded to sail across the globe as a post-ww2 honeymoon with his missus. It was quite a different time back then. And yes, I get excited every time a new podcast episode gets uploaded as the ramblings of you, Mike, Goat and other guests always break up the tedium of work and bring a smile to my face.. whilst staying safe of course. Wish you and the gang all the best.

Tex, one quick question. Many times when discussing SS13, you have mentioned Cuban Pete, but you've never told the story. Could you elaborate?

I've been throwing the link at anyone and everyone I can. Because it's good. The sheer lunacy Dr. Christmas hurled like verbal chaff to avoid the consequences of his actions needs to be seen and heard to be believed.

Bolo Unit BRL of the Line

You should publish it on other historical documentary streaming platform! It would get the appreciation it deserves!

I still cannot get over how well the reenacted recordings lulled my brain into mush. Like, I knew almost every work that was spoken was insanely, completely wrong, and yet it still has this weird ASMR thing going on in it. It was bizarre

If she doesn't ask to delay the roll around for the newest episode of Tex Talks X, she isn't the one. Also, I'll be visiting family in a few weeks and I will get them to watch it since they like documentaries.

Dr. Christmas didn't have time for "Safety First". Not even "safety 3rd"! I got so much entertainment out of the 1st episode of TTH that I forgot I was actually Learning!

Aaah, sorry Youtube is deciding to be a dick. Just gotta keep at it, yeah? Y'all do fine work, it really shows. That's what really counts.

Nothing makes me happier than seeing my name in the credits of a history documentary that deserves to stand side by side with ANY major history producer. <3

Baron Ouranos Helaine

Watched the premiere with my mother, we both of us really enjoyed it. She just couldn't believe the fact that guy got way with it repeatedly. Were both hoping to see more TexTalkHistories in the future!

Darkness Of Light

As one of the folks who made it to the premiere, that was absolutely stellar.

Etsaru

I liked the new TTH I don't know much about the early history of aviation. Learned a bunch.

Thanks for the history lesson Tex, I had a blast and looking forward to the next one. Question: Just finished Blaine Lee Pardoe's new Land and Sea trilogy and I gotta say it was pretty damn good. I was curious if you'ld had an opportunity to check it out and if so what are your thoughts?

Jalatron

Sir, I will absolutely reschedule my sex night around robots on TV. TTH was an absolutely glorious thing of beauty. I laughed, I cried, I was real glad I'm not a test pilot.

Korehammer

I happily shared the link on various social media accounts, and with friends and family that I thought might enjoy it. I also DID actually get a YouTube notification when the video went live. I greatly enjoyed the documentary, and I am hoping you do continue the series.

Tetatae Exchange Student

I loved it as well; I can't wait to see what you do next.

Ben B

TTH was amazing and Frankly I'm looking for what is coming next.

Ak_Lonewolf

I thoroughly enjoyed TTH and was both informed and entertained. I'm happy to help fund this madness. You and your team continue to evolve and impress. As for YouTube, well there's always uranium jail.

Overkill102

Being a nerd of more than just Fallout, Final Fantasy, Battletech, AND History, I honestly loved your Tex Talk's History video. Mind you, I watch a lot of History Channels on Youtube and I will say, you are not alone in that regard.
