Tex, I just saw the short of Invictus, and know you are having some health issues .. I'm a couple updates behind, but.. Is everything ok?

Its something I'm slowly working on. I have the mech and vehicles done I just need to write and arrange it

Ok this sounds sweet. Is there an actual Discount Dan TRO and if so where can I find it?

have you thought about making your own private Space Station 13 server? would love to see you to be able to make Space station 13 videos again and making a BTL server with people you like playing with on it maybe a good way of going about it with the state of the game now a days.

Just re-watched TTH and wanted to give max props to referring to Rickenbacker as a “Medal Of Honor Recipient” vs a “Medal Of Honor Winner”. It’s not some Olympic event and tends to be posthumously awarded. It’s a pet-peeve I inherited from my father so bravo.

MrToBeNamedLater

Pony Podcast was awesome. She did a engineering critique on 40k series that was really good

Loved TTH, funny story was running my Saturday game and had just killed a PC, and mid sentence I gotten notification and thought, "oh neat, tex talks history is out" not realizing I'd said it out loud. It's now Canon in my pathfinder game that the frog man briefly glimpsed reality as he fell down a flight of stairs at Mach Jesus. We had a watch party afterwards and everyone seemed to like it as the antics of Dr Christmas got progressively worse. That deposition had me stunned. Looking forward to the hunchback episode, love me the 4p, wonder if you could cook a brisket in there

Hey Tex loved the TTH, even got my family to watch it at dinner. Anyway I’ve been on a Star Wars kick lately playing Tie Fighter and it got me thinking that there should be a Star Wars game like ultimate admiral dreadnoughts but in space with Star Wars ships. The closet I think I’ve come to playing something like that is tabletop Star Wars Armada. What do you think?

So after watching TTH a couple times, sharing it with my buddies, and enjoying it thoroughly, Tex? I need you to slap me with the idiot stick because of all the people I know that would love this exact thing, who did I not even consider until driving home from work today? My dad, prior military and retired history teacher who instilled in me my curiosity and love of hearing all the batshit cool and insane stuff that people have done since the dawn of time. I R DUM. That said the squirrel cage that is my thinkmeat stopped shaking enough to remember to reply instead of forgetting to do so after telling myself "After dinner, for sure!" so here we go! 1) TTH was an excellent ride. Couldn't see it when it premiered but did enjoy it over dinner when I got home that night! Kudos to the team, and everybody involved. The radio play elements of the transcript reading were fantastic. 2) My housemate and I had to pause repeatedly to read each of those articles you scrolled to wrap our heads around the pants shittingly insane claims they contained. Holy crap. Also, is it just me or when describing the capabilities of the flying battlecruiser did Christmas not approximate the B-17? Not saying he deserves any credit in making the thing, but the description does sound like a proto-flying fortress. 3) A lot of what you're describing sounds so much like all the channels and creators I sought out when starting to research vtubing and what I needed to break into the field. The focus on SEO, social media, sponsorships, and using anyone and everyone around you to try and elevate yourself sounds just...exhausting, and not in a healthy or ethical way. 4) ChatGPT....really, all it is, if you think about it, is a fancy search engine. Its the evolution of the concept behind googles algorithm that weighs results against the collected criteria to try and approximate what you're after. Its clever, but only to a certain extent. 5) By extent...what does an information science degree entail? The timing of listening to this is remarkable because today I'm starting to look at school for the first time in over a decade to pursue post-grad for my career, and am learning about all kinds of programs that I never knew were a thing. What sort of stuff does one learn with that degree? As always, love the work you and the lads do, and am rooting for you to keep strong regardless of the bullshit. Be well, Tex, and look forward to listening in next week!

Not much to say, but keep up the awesome job (your team). I love y'all. Be well!

LOVED the tth and looking forward to what's to come! Wrote this comment specifically to say your stream intro music is a goddamed adventure in itself. Have a satisfying back crack for me as mine won't anymore.

A "duckloaf" if you will.

I ordered all of the 3D kitbashed mechs I made for the Discount Dan TRO from Defiance Industries and named one of them after one of your more hilarious memes- FLAK GANG. Specifically it's a stripped down Centurion with dual LBX-5s in an arm mount ripped off a Rifleman and backed up by a trio of medium lasers. It's so utterly ridiculous yet I truly fear for any flock of birds that gets too close.

Setting aside favoring a particular era, there's three main starting points people tend to gravitate towards when they start reading the BT books: the Grey Death Trilogy, the Warrior Trilogy, or the Clan Invasion trilogy. I do typically get all or most of the notifications about BPL video postings, but I generally don't have the schedule space to catch the premieres. Side note, I'm about to ruin a whole bunch of clan invasion kickstarter minis learning to paint. Why? Because I'm gonna learn to paint minis by July so I can make my girlfriend a Supernova.

Hello Mr Tex, I owe an belated apology as I'm sure hearing the same recommendations to try what's already been done to beat that dog's breakfast of a video hosting site's algorithm is the equivalent of banging one's head against a wall. On an unrelated noted, I remember there being talk about possibly unveiling to the public the tweaked version of the Dark Heresy game mechanics used in Magistratum Mundanus, is this still on cards for the future? Looking forward to the unveiling of your latest film, hope you and Mike treat yourselves to a good feed after all that hard work, even if it's just a nice steak dinner at home.

Tex has a low threshold for comfort?!?? Noooo wayyyyyyy..... Duck Meatloaf? Oh wow

Showed the Christmas Bullet to my fellow engineers and the older guys on the team mentioned that they’ve met people like him and they’ve been in the medical device industry longer than I’ve been alive which is a bit concerning to say the least.

Chris Stochaj

Hi Tex! I heard you visited the Twitch stream of an online friend of mine and had some nice things to say to her. Thanks! You really made her day.

The key to oven jerky is subtle heat. I made bacon jerky last weekend. Question! The podcast has me yearning for Arby's, lol. How would you simulate such meat sweat inducing shaved beef?

Hunchback, who doesn't like breaking the game with a bit of creative min-maxing? I used to have big fun in the Forza racing games by doing the low-grade E and F class races which are supposed to be run with crappy little contemporary hatchbacks and citi-cars, only instead I'd use sports-cars from 40 years prior which were Technically in the same class. Toyota Yaris to the left of me, Chevy Spark to the right, midling stats all around. Here I am, in a 1970 Mercury Cougar Eliminator with cokebottle-caps for brakes and wagon-train era suspension but an engine with enough torque to redistribute tectonic plates. I feel like the Hunchback basically follows this same philosophy.

I know the feel of having Mr. Train come by quite often...I grew up in a small town in central Ohio, where my parents and I lived was about a mile or so from a train yard bear the steel mill, so I just got used to Mr Train being a comma in conversation. When I got to college a dorm I lived in had train tracks right behind it, I still didn't notice it, but it was funny seeing friends react to Mr Train screaming hello while I didn't even flinch, I just took a pause and then when Mr Train left I picked up. Hold up...you DO take adds out in your videos...not everyone else's fault that Discount Dan buys up all the add space. So in another fun story that I had a great laugh about..so I accidentally'd a buttplug...I'll leave a picture in the community page. So I've been working on making a skirmish game and I decided I wanted to make my own scatter terrain. I stepped into the realm of silicone casting and resin pouring. At the time I was working on objective markers. I tried combining different pieces of resin jewelry bits that I poured and I put it together without really looking at it. I glued it and then put it off to the side to dry then started to pour some pipes and crates and then turned back around and then said "Why is there a buttplug on my table!?" Then realized what I did...I laughed about it, I showed my wife and she just looked at me and said "How the fuck did you manage that?" We had a good laugh...I'm still going to use them for sure, if anyone sees it out in the wild once I get it all together come by and ask about it, I'll toss you one as an inside joke. Tex and the BPL keep up the great work and I'll be glad to keep throwing my money into the insanity pit.

The Mailman

Have you had any commebacks or backlash from the Christmas family after the Tex Talk history?

PowerTulip

We may be Tiny, Tex, but we have FUN and do things not because it's easy, but because we WANT to. I am very much looking forward to the Hunchback vid. I enjoyed the bullet and all things shitpostery. The SCP steam made me smile quite a lot so that's worth 10 bucks a month anyyyytime. So keep up the keeping. And high fives to the team! HAWKMEN!! DIIIIIVE!! ((oh yes...HI TRAIN!! good to finally hear him..its been so long since he's been in one of your recordings...........okay...I couldn't keep a straight face there!))
