An Update on "When its done"

Turns out it means when it's done. Some people thought I was being cryptic. I was not. It's when its done. Just like grandma's cooking but without the tongue depressors accidentally baked into it. Long story. Grandma cooked for perhaps too long.

Anyways.

Updates: Hunchback coming along - more poetry soon - and more things asides. Other projects are underway but I don't want to ruin the surprise.

A few interesting cameos in this episode. We'll see what you guys think.

DM sent and my fault, I shoulda been more punctual so I missed the boat this week.

MrToBeNamedLater

message me privately. I'd like to speak. You do good work.

THE BLACK PANTS LEGION

I can probably get you that pack. And I can try to link it - message me privately. Pardon I didnt get to your question in voice, I only just now saw it pop up

THE BLACK PANTS LEGION

Hey Tex just idly musing aloud here, but was wondering if the raw audio files from Grandpa Tex voice pack you made for BTA is available for download separately? Asking because I might like to create an XCOM 2 Grandpa Tex voice pack from it if that’s something you’re ok with. If not, it’s your content and I’ll respect it accordingly. Speaking of, hope you rest up and feel better soon or else Grandpa Tex is gonna become more than just a persona you adopt in short order. Finally, any luck finding a place to tannerite your YouTube plaque with your Thompson in time for Independence Day because guns, explosions and fire are solidly reliable ways to honor America this time of year.

MrToBeNamedLater

Hey Tex any chance do you guys have a idea when you are are posting that Traveller actual play yet? Looking forward to that project. Keep rocking the free world chummer.

Hey Tex! Given all the life advice and motivational talks you give, you're basically an honourary dad to many of us listeners, legionaries or not. Happy Father's Day! PS: Pho is god-tier soup. My buddy's shop makes their own chili oil which is perfect for stuffy colds. Better than just tossing in sambal oelek (though that works too!)

Hope this finds you on better health, you Tex and your team have been a great inspiration to keep writing and I am nearly done with my fan novel for battletech and your updates and the work that comes out gonna keep getting caught up with wbpl76 and other podcasts and at the end of the day keep doing what you love and never stop being real I know I will too, thankz!!

Hey Tex, just saw your update on the YouTube community page. Please get some rest and take care of yourself. Also, I learned that I share a birthday with the BPL YouTube channel. Neat

Hello Tex, glad to hear your recovery trudge is ongoing but moderately fruitful. I heard if you main line matzoball soup it can cure the consumption. As always, thank you and your team for your wonderful work and i hope to hear of your steady improvement in the next update. I actually was able to get my niece to settle down to hear the misadventures of the nefarious dr christmas. She got through about a 3rd of the video before she nodded off but she looked like she enjoyed it. Thats like a solid 7.5/10 in baby critique. I also can't wait for your next TTH and the punchback. Ive been trying to get my friends into BT and having them watch the tex talks has been a blast. Anywho, i hope this message finds you better than you were the day before. Stay cozy and praise z0rg.

Rabbid Pencil

Hey Tex, you sound a lot better in this update and I hope you continue to get better. Just wanted to say that I enjoyed both interviews on the podcast. I do hope you will continue to do episodes where you and the guys just sit around and bullshit as well. Secondly I wanted to tell you that I am one of the people who do get notifications from YouTube when you upload or go live. Not sure if I’m an exception but maybe it’s because I don’t have notifications turned on for many channels. Lastly here is a question for you to ponder. What is a game that you like that most others don’t due to it coming out bad or just wasn’t liked by a majority of people. Mine has to be Fallout 76. All of the criticisms are valid, but I keep going back to it and making new characters. I think I like the mining theme they had going. Anyway sorry for the long comment hope you and your team continue to get better.

The_coat5

Hello, newcomer here. Big fan of the YT channel. In any case, thanks for the Locust Labs plug - I went to their Cults3D page and the first thing I found was what I have been looking for weeks now - a mortar technical.

DopePope

Sounds like pneumonia feel better (in hospital in Canada for same thing) would you and the crew play wolfpack on steam? Will get the thunderbolt one day right?

tAU_786

G’day Tex I have a couple of Battletech questions. Firstly, what’s the ‘easiest’ way to paint Mechs? I have just been slapping on pink & purple colourshit paints over metallic primers, but I was curious as to your thoughts /\ /\ (UwU) Secondly, what are your thoughts on ‘Alpha Strike’? I played a game of it last weekend and I was super impressed with how it played and scratched the ‘war game’ lobe in my brain Anyway, have yourself a fine day

Only very view people can sit there and tell you they are sorry for cutting back on content, while recording poems, making multible feature length documentaries, recording podcasts, making gameplay collages, working a day job and streaming at least twice a week. You, Crow, Dep and the rest are a very special breed of human and i am very thankfull for all your effort. I just hope you overwork yourself anymore than your comfortable with.

I think Tex needs an ASMR of just racking rifles and cooking pistols. Anyways I've finally caught up on the podcasts and I truly hope Goat tells one TPK story when he is on next as his was the one I was most interested in hearing from his exp both running and playing in a multitude of games. If I remember right there will be a swarm of questions coming again soon (1 at a time) Still enjoying all the poems and all the kudos to your team. Keep swinging one punch at a time.

Your description of how unpolished the videos would be is...basically how my work would be. Although a cooking show where the cook is just rambling about train artillery or the effects of solar flares on global communications would be interesting.

Also...about your habit of preambling before getting into the mech in a TTBT...The Baron was a great contrast to what Star Corp actually did...also the next mech that you did directly related to the material presented beforehand...how dare you have fun and give information in a scaffolding manner so we have better understanding

The Mailman

Sooo..about Father Bill and Fiore...I know I spelled that wrong, but regardless of what people may think of the person, they both had great stories and a lesson buried in there too....I'm a very much not religious person, but my wife is still very much catholic and I still go to mass with her bc she likes that I do...the priest still will drop non religious wisdom from time to time or just say something that has made me stop and think....I agree with the sentiment of "shut up and listen before you say something" if only people did that more...also thanks for the Darude remix Mr Train...I get it you're loney...we see you and hear you and acknowledge your existence and relevance

The Mailman

I have no love for the Catholic Church, for reasons I won’t get into here, but Father Bill seems to be an alright dude and has found fulfillment in his profession. I can’t get personally mad at a dude that has that going for him and isn’t troubling other folks. It was a good interview and enjoyable content. That said, I really hope you and Kruggsmash can get your schedules lined up at some point. I joined his patreon after you pointed him out during a stream and I took a gander at his Youtube for a few days. Waddlesquash is what really sold me on his style of content. The man has a seriously creative mind that made even the ASCII art interesting with his story telling.

swiftdraw

I've not though of A Light in the Attic in a long while. Honestly has me wanting to track down a copy. I remember loving it as a kid. The poems were pleasantly absurd. Also I've loved all the people you've had on, been very interesting and diverse.

VVelox

Or, "The goddamned Black Watch."

Anthony Emmel

Speaking of cameos, Tex.....I know 40K is not you're bag, baby, but I would love to have a cameo by Baldermort. (He does for 40k lore what you do for BT, if you don't know.) Hearing his gruff British tones opposite your Texas drawl would be amazing!

Anthony Emmel

If we can't get your face on a shirt, then can we get your voice on a shirt instead? I personally would enjoy wearing a wave file of you saying something snarky on a shirt. Keep on fighting the good fight brother, cause "you took the road less traveled by and that has made all the difference."

Jason Carter

Sick and Tired of being Tired and Sick Yes, people are cynical, but also spiteful and stupid "And I told them to go fuck themselves" I know you don't do t shirts, but this could be a personal motto, just saying. Okay, now we need TTH on the Spanish Inquisition! Nobody would expect that, either! Good Pho is amazing. Bad Pho is like dirty water with noodles.

Jay McIntyre

I miss Pho. We had a Pho shop open in the nearby itty-bitty podunk town here... it didn't last long. Great food, but nobody explained to the owners how restaurants work. They were closed at the drop of a hat. Closed for Christmas, Closed for New Years, Closed for Valentines day (normally a Restaurant's busiest day) Closed for FLAG DAY. Closed for Vietnamese holidays I'd never heard of. Got to where I didn't even look at that building when I drove past until I noticed something different about it out of the corner of my eye one day, that something different was that it was vacant. Mmmm, Brisket pho with thai basil...

Molly McAllister

So, my mom's making tri-weekly trips to Houston for cancer treatments. I've been ever so slowly breaking down her walls for various pieces of nerd humor. She said Father Bill had a lot of interesting points and she talked about it with her small group that next sunday. Anyways, i havent dropped the Pony episode on her yet, but give it time and i think i'll make it there in a year. Keep up the good work and God bless.

Gaunt

I'm pretty sure tractor pulls are up there with shuttle launches on the noise level. Them babies is LOUD. But Tex, if you live on the moon, won't you have to deal with the Moon Kaiser? Also, "Happy" Youtubiversary.
