Mini-Comic: "Scars"

Here's the story of how AU Jonah lost his eye. The issue of abuse in relationships is something we should always be discussing, and I wanted to take the opportunity for Jonah to represent the fact that anyone can be a victim of domestic abuse. That being said we wanted to give the disclaimer that this has nothing to do with anything in the recent news cycle, as I did decide this detail for Jonah way back when we first came up with the modern AU and started the Patreon.

2022-05-12 04:08:51 +0000 UTCI know I’m female and my opinion may fall on deaf ears. But I relate to Jonah in a number of ways. I’m often seen as strong and reliable, like him. Nobody would ever think that something like that happened to him. Unless people knew me before long before it happened, no one would know I am a survivor of Domestic Abuse. I know and appreciate how this mini comic was handled from both Jonah’s and Mercy’s perspective, and felt that hug that was given. Thank for showing that even the strongest and most confident of people, can be victims too regardless of gender.

Jonah has an Irish accent (you will notice he keeps the 'u's in some words like colour), and Mercy has a kind of quick, classical Hollywood American accent. But since neither are mentioned in the story (and won't be, because neither country exists in the world of OSAS), that means you're free to imagine whatever you'd like for them! - J
