Can't wait until the 20th! One day i hope to have the time to listen to the bpl podcast. I have always been accepting of the idea of charity merch; i would love if we could get a Mr. Goat BPL Themed vinyl record. And as always I hope you had a phenomenal week. Got any plans for the weekend? Best wishes to you and the BPL. :)

2021-05-14 14:32:45 +0000 UTCHeck, I’d love to give that 1975 battleship question some consideration.. regardless, noob question, has any thought been given to/or does there exist a BPL discord?
2021-05-13 19:15:25 +0000 UTCSuper excited for the Marauder, and according to my schedule I'm off that day. Huzzah! I would buy the everloving shit out of a "Pay your bills, fucko" shirt. If you do happen to make this a reality, please ensure they got big boy sizes. This week, many questions have materialized in the cockpit of this particular 'Mech, wrought from meat and bone. Alas, half or more of them have subsequently escaped into the vast, murky depths of my scattered brain. Such is the condition of we who bear ADHD. Alas. Perhaps they shall someday resurface. Anyways, the remainder are these. A. If you could have a song made by any band, what band would it be and what is the subject? Personally, I would love to see Sabaton tell the story of the last stand of the Black Watch. 2. What class of vessel do you think Dawson's Christian was? I would guess no larger than a destroyer, given that she was said to be no match for a light cruiser. Perhaps a frigate or even corvette? C. Are your gunsmithing skills for hire? If so, for the sake of shitposting, say I provided several Mosins that had suffered from catastrophic muzzle obstructions. Would you create for me a brace of obrezes? All paperwork and costs taken care of by me, of course. 4. Finally, a scenario. It is 1975. NATO has elected to create a joint naval force for common defense. This force will draw many vessels from member states, but will also include new designs built with the best technologies available from NATO members. You have been tasked with developing a battleship class for this force. Its expected role is fleet escort and gunfire support for landings, but should also be able to deal with surface combatants. Your budget is vast, but limited. Questions are these: What's powering this class, what vehicles and secondary armaments will they carry, and how big are their holeknockers?

2021-05-13 16:13:54 +0000 UTCI would love a charity push. i hope something comes up so you can partner with someone. I agree that the pay your bills part should be in Latin. Question for the Week: Some of your best content in SS13 has been with people you know, and not meta gaming, is it against your philosophy to set up a session even if you are against your friend?

2021-05-08 13:14:09 +0000 UTCVery interesting ideas with the Jihad, I love the notion of Wobbies being all, "Operation was a total success, oh no!" I've... resisted digging into the Dark Age, but it feels to me from what I've gleaned to be an attempt at resetting the timeline to the good old Neo-Barbarian days of 3025. I can sympathize, that's one of my favorite eras... but... it's space. Space is Big and 'Sci-Fi authors have No Sense of Scale' is a thing. What do you think about there being room to tell new stories in the Battletech Universe in the 3025 or any previous era, and what are your thoughts in-general of franchises trying to walk-back the IP when advancing timelines towards a preferential past state rather than just expanding on the already-existing past and allowing natural progress in the timeline's future?

2021-05-08 13:06:22 +0000 UTCWhat mech does Grandpa Tex Pilot? Mackie? Yeoman? Some frankenmech combination of the two?

2021-05-08 11:41:35 +0000 UTCTex, No need to read this... I don't see the Tex mod, but BT mods are at : https://www.nexusmods.com/battletech
2021-05-08 06:03:32 +0000 UTCTotally unrelated, I remember seeing you post a clip of Grandpa Tex pilot mod for Battletech. Where can I find that, if it's released? My google-fu is failing me.

2021-05-08 05:33:49 +0000 UTCSpeaking as a guy who's said "we're looking ready for release" in the past, all I can say is BACK UP YOUR WORK, FUCKO. That said, I am so ready for the Marauder episode. Literally the only "significant" BattleTech tank commander I can think of was Caleb Davion, and his being a tanker is one of the least significant things about him.

2021-05-08 05:08:54 +0000 UTCIt's loosening up, there's a lot more girls, women and old ladies playing TT wargames than one would presume from such a "nerdy" hobby. How visible they are depend a lot on how competent the local hobby stores managers are and if they have and how forcefully they enforce a non-discrimination policy in the store, and if they have gaming tables availiable for customer use.

2021-05-08 05:04:12 +0000 UTCWould definitely grab a shirt or two for charity. In fact I'm certain that Riley Centrlla's entire battletech discord server might. Which leads me to my question. Battletech has historically been a fandom almost exclusively for males. Do you think enough has been done to attract the fairer sex to the game, or is the wargame medium just predisposed towards a sausage fest?
2021-05-08 04:07:18 +0000 UTCHopefully all are doing ok! Thanks for the wonderful content Mike and Tex!! Looking forward to may 20th!! Be Well!!!

2021-05-08 00:10:48 +0000 UTCI would 100% be into the idea of a ComStar pay your bills fucko shirt, but maybe written in Latin so I could wear it in public. Love the idea of all the cash going to charity, too!
